    Hey!
    I've made the mixture today. It has a little bitter aftertaste, otherwise tastes good. Maybe I overheated it a little, when I threw the soda in, it was foaming like hell. (but the syrup was not boiling before)
    Anyway, I have to buy little cheaper syrup next time, this one is bio-grade (they had only this one in that store) and was little pricey...

    I added also cinnamon and it reminded me of making erection tea, so I was wondering if it were possible to add some ginger next time too

    I was also thinking about long-term effects from eating this mixture. I've heard that baking soda eats up vitamins from the body. But maybe it's because many vitamins are acid based and they get neutralized. Nowadays they put vitamins in all kinds of food anyway (and I think it's bad, e.g. vitamin C is pure acid...)

    I hope I'll see some results in some time. I'll try to report here then..

      ok, So here are my observations. Of course they are not very objective, but I think caused by the syrup-soda mixture.

      I've been learning a lot for exams last week or two, that means less sleeping, lot of coffee, some stress, crappy food...
      Usually when I drink lot of coffee my body has many accids, I sweat much more, my skin is more greasy, especially on the face.

      But not this time. Although i had like 3-4 cups of coffee a day, I felt pretty normal, no too much sweating, no greasy face... It seems the soda works for me to some extend.
      Also when I wake up, I don't feel that tired. Although I wasn't doing much in the summer, sometimes I felt like I couldn't get out of bed, I was just tired all the time... now it seems better.

      I ate 2, sometimes even 3 teaspoons a day. My pH from urine in the morning was around 6 anyway, once was like 6.5 or so

      I'll experiment with it little more, and I'll add some ginger next time (ginger also alkalize the body, and I think "natural" is better than chemistry (soda) ).


      also, can you please explain what "kinked up" means? It's in the beginning of this thread, and my dictionary is helpless with this one

        Hey BadDog , Yes , by kinked up , I meant tight and needing stretched .
        I've been out of syrup for a few days and I can tell it !!
        I'm waking up kinked . LOL !!!
        My Ph is way on the acid side . I was doing 2 tsp. per day and that kept me on the
        alkaline side .
        You mentioned ginger . I like ginger too . Are you adding it to the mixture ?
        If so how much ? And what type ? Powdered ?
        I'm getting syrup today .
        My Ph today was 5.5 . Way to acid !!

          This is very interesting...
          The Protocol
          "1-Mix one part baking soda with three parts (pure, 100%) maple syrup in a small saucepan.
          2-Stir Briskly
          3-Heat the mixture for 5 minutes.
          4-Take 1 teaspoon daily, as needed.

          Very Important Note: Do not use baking soda which has had aluminum added to it, such as Arm and Hammer. Buy a product which specifically states it does not include aluminum or other chemicals. This will probably have to be purchased at a health food store or online (e.g. Bob's Red Mill, Aluminum-Free, Baking Soda)."


          So I guess you can't use just any old baking soda.

            I've not tried it with ginger yet, just an idea... I'm going to make a new batch in a few days, I'll try add some powdered ginger... probably the same amount as cinnamon... to try this out.

              So I need to ask, how much of this are you making at one time? 2 cups syrup and 1/2 cup soda? Whatever you are making, how long does it last/stay good?

                I used one package of soda, which was half of a small glass (I guess 100 ml - 3.3 ounce) so I used 2 those glasses of syrup.
                In the end I had almost a cup of that mixture. I'v been eating it more than 2 spoons a day usually and I still have like 1 quarter of it left.

                Edit: It's a pity that forum does not show exact date of a post, I don't remember when I made the mixture, it's around 10 days or almost 2 weeks now I think...

                  Thanks for the info. Another's question. Can I use aquarium ph testing strips because I would like to test prior to using this but cannot find testing sticks I'm any local pharmacies

                      I'm not sure if you can use aquarium testing strips... it's a different purpose and the concentrations of chemicals is different in urine and in aquarium, so the "sensitivity" of the strip may be different. Better get the real ones, in the best case such a strips, that allow readings more accurate that 1 ph.... 0.5 or 0.3 would be great.

                              Question, are you guys noticing any changes in weight (this sounds high carb x_x), cum volume or consistency, erectile function? I pretty much look for a combination of that when experimenting with what I take in. It would be interesting if you were noticing any side effects (positive or negative).

                                really, it may sound high carb, but eating one or two teaspoons a day isn't that much sugar... no weight issues (but I'm 26 )
