At my workplace, there are various people that are developing Prostate ailments. Granted they are in there 50's, yet I still ponder if simple Penile Exercise would deter most of the conditions that are very prevalent in the older male? I haven't really read any factual data, be it, pro or con. You could say that PE initiates are basically "test subjects". As of today I am healthy and performance is good to excellent. Any feedback, for the better or worse would be appreciated. Any thoughts?

As men, if we live long enough, we will have problems with our prostate. It's just a simple fact of our existence. In the mid 90's autopsies were conducted on cadavers on men who had attained the age of 85 for more. 91% of the subjects either had prostate cancer or carcinoma in situ. These men did not die from prostate cancer;the study was done to see how prevalent it was in the older population.Benign prostatic hypertophy happens to most men in the 50's or 60's and not much can really be done. Saw palmetto was touted as a great aid but studies done about 6-7 years ago at Harvard and Boston University showed that it wasn't as helpful as first thought but did not reccomend not taking it.If you really think about it the decline of the prostate does make sense. We guys think of it as part of our sexual organ but the correct term is that it is part of our reproductive system. We are all part of nature and nature is intersted in one thing and one thing only;reproduction. If nature does not reproduce nature ceases to exist.Nature is telling us guys that we are no longer needed to replenish the species; nature prefers younger healthier genes that have not been around too long where the longer we're around the greater chance of our chromosomes screwing up. We don't seem to like it but it seems logical. When nature don't want you it usually has a good way to get rid of you;death or extinction! So what can you do? For me, exercise, healthy diet, kegals, maybe some supplements that may have some benefical effect, although minor but what the hell. And maybe some dark rum;I'm sure there must be some lame-brained study I could find on the internet that says dark rum is good for my prostate! The world's still a toy if you just stay a boy!

Thanks for the statistics. At least in my family history, there is no evidence nor sign of any prostate problem in the past for all the generations I know. My dad is 78 and never wake up in the middle of the night to pee. In fact, only in my adult life living with roommates, I have noticed that the bathroom is used at least every 45 minutes by different humans during the whole night. I wonder what kind of dysfunction those bodies must have to have such a bad sleep pattern. I remember growing up, I started hearing all these ads on tv about prostate medications, and prostate procedures, when I never heard the word prostate from anybody in my family while I was growing up. My grandfather who was a farmer, never even had a blood test done in his life
Prostate problems ARE NOT normal in a healthy human body. But the key here is healthy. 99% of humans are composed of crap. Medications for all kind of stupidity everyday, processed foods, high saturated fats, high carbohydrate diets, alcohol, cigarettes, recreational drugs, no exercise, etc..
I repeat again. Stay away from all processed foods, and decrease calorie intake. Do it not for you, because is too late, but for your next generations. Many of the health deficiencies today, where caused by bad habits in previous generations who degenerated genes and the specie in general.

Umm Jackxxx, the general thrust of eat well, exercise ,stay away from drugs etc I like. Given the plethora of drugs you use for chem pe and I assume bodybuilding, I find it strange that it is you making this argument though.

When you're healthy, you don't have prostate problems.Decline in health happens with age;there is just nothing anyone can do about it! Does anyone think that we're going to be healthy right up until death? And if we were healthy we wouldn't be dying! I love going to those wakes, looking at the dead guy and hear someone say" Gee he never had a sick day in his life!" I just think his only sick day was one hell of a day! We ain't getting out of this alive. Remember life itself is a terminal condition! The world's still a toy if you just stay a boy!

Yes you can do something about it. Keep the testosterone high and the estrogen low and you wont have prostate cancer.Originally posted by CUSP82 View PostWhen you're healthy, you don't have prostate problems.Decline in health happens with age;there is just nothing anyone can do about it! Ejaculate at least 3 times per week.
As men age we convert more testostereone to estrogen. A good way to eliminate this probelm is to cut back on alcohol. Alcohol is estrogenic.

While you are correct cusp the obvious thing is to keep as healthy as possible as long as possible. The ideal thing, as you said ,would be to have only one sick day in your life.

You guys are all right. The ideal would be for us to remain completely healthy right up until that "one day"! Wouldn't that be great! What I am trying to point out is that we will all change. That's what age does.I see so many people with this hurts or that bothers me or this don't work like it used to and quite frankly they get depressed about it and it ruins their outlook on the rest of life.Yes let's try to all do what is healthy and we all know what that is but let's also realize that time will change all of us.Every once in a while I'll run into an aquaintance that maybe I haven't seen in 20 years. They say "hey you look the same as you did the last time I saw you 20 years ago" and I get right up into their face and tell them "did I look like this 20 years ago?" Let's all be prepared for the changes life will bring us and maybe we'll appreciate more all that we have now before we get to the latter stages of life. I haven't heard one senior citizen tell me the golden years are great. They tell me they suck! So let's all have fun and enjoy the ride, even when it gets bumpy! The world's still a toy if you just stay a boy!
