Low zinc seriously impacts T and E levels.

Thanks - very interesting. Not sure if my zinc is low. Will have to do a little research to see how to test it. May add zinc to my supplements except is makes me queasy for about 45 minutes when I take it (even when I eat).

You should be seen by an edocrinologists especially if you thyroid gland is involved
Often people or even doctors do not pay much attention to glandular problems but could be serious consequences from there.

Alchol is a big estrogenic factor even more than soy.

No thyroid problems - that tested normal. Everything tested normal except my estradiol.

Have not retested yet but will be doing so. I'm not sure whether I had this problem in the past. However, I do know that my alcohol consumption has increased significantly in the past 2 years. Used to have 2-3 drinks a week. I now drink about 2 a day.

I have cut it back to about 1 a day.

You should be able to do a simple zinc taste test many health food stores do them or a naturopath.

Unless when you say 2 drinks a day, you mean 2 bottles ,of wine I would have thought this is ok. Alcohol is estrogenic though, as is bodyfat and alcohol is high calorie.

Two drinks is real - not two bottles. Also my bodyfat percentage has always been very low. I am very lean. However, I have gained quite a lot of weight for me over the past 2 years. Went from 165 to 185. My height is 6 feet.

Having another blood test this week.

The drink in itself should not be an issue, but bodyfat certainly could be ,while 185 lb is not excessive ,you seem to think the weight gain is fat.

Yup - since I've not really been hitting the gym. Sitting at my desk at the office all day with not much exercise. Not a sloth by any means but nothing that would put on 20 lbs of muscle either.

My ass is a little bigger but most is in the torso area.

Weight loss will help as the aromatase enzyme is stored in fat.

DIM, or Diindolylmethane, is a plant indole found in cruciferous vegetables such as brocolli, cabbage, brussels sprouts and califlower. DIM promotes better estrogen metabolism in men.
