Yeah, need a back support to ensure no swinging.

Why not? The purpose of your core is to tense up in order to stabilize your body, so it makes sense to train it that way. When you have a barbell on your back, your core is stabilizing you so you don't fold over on yourself. Keep adding weight to the barbell and your core gets stronger and stronger. The only "direct" core work I ever do is ab wheel rollouts, and once again, the primary mechanism is "bracing" your body. I definitely have a 6 pack, sometimes an 8 pack

It also just depends on what you're eating and body fat %.

In my experience, having abs never had anything to do with what exercises I was performing, but from body fat%. You can do all the sit ups in the world, but you wont have a visible 6 pack unless your in the 9-12% Body fat range, can vary a bit depends on genetics really.

Simple answer, you want a visible 6 pack? Do cardio and watch what you eat.

Running is the best, but if you got bad knees/shin splints/ect, try riding a bike for 30+ miles a week, or swimming if you have access to a nice sized pool. Ever see a long distance runner that DIDN'T have a six pack? Nope.

yes i agree that it is really helpful for the body or fitness and health. Running is good exercise or the walking is the helpful for the body. Swimming in the best exercise to burns the fats.

I run a fast half mile, then use the heavy bag and the 75m stability ball to do sit ups. It hits them hard too, love the pain from it. Also use a body sculpt recliner thing. You can lay back on it, on your sides and on your stomach for lower back muscles. I use a 15lb ball with it to do figure 8s, really awesome on the abs man!

I would if we had a place here that big, lol. I sometimes use the stair stepper, turn it on full blast and run about that tho. It is a beast!

I have a 20 story building and I scale it as fast as I can 4 times. The best kind of cardio is short and intense.... i think that fits the bill!

I do lots of things for abs.

When I was in training for the Marines, they had us simple to (up to) 100 crunches in 2 minutes.
You sit with something/someone holding your feet down, bring your heels to your ass, keep your arms crossed in front of you, and crunch until your arms hit your thighs. Drop, repeat. Do as many as you can in 2 minutes, with your goal being 100 (or more)

                          I would also do:
decline situps with a 40-60lb weight on my chest at the gym. Careful with these, as they can be stressful on the back.
bicycles, or weight assisted bicycles at the gym.
leg lifts at the gym. (knee ups, legs out, knees left, knees right)
dumbbell oblique lifts, sometimes hanging outward from one of the machines.

On top of that.. running, swimming, and a good diet.

                          On a side note:
I came across this pic when I was googling some of the exercised to see if I got the name right.
I'm not normally one for muscle-chicks, but this one is kind of hot

lol thanks. My gym membership expired and I don't have enough money to renew it. So I said fuckit. I have all the tools around me. Next time I visit my parents in the country side, I'm going to push their car around and see how that treats me.

Do you run up the stairs?
Or climb up the outside of the building?
