  • Real skinny guy- thoughts?

    At 18 I was 5'10-11 and 115-120lbs 10% bodyfat.

A few years on and off I am now about 130lbs.

I maintained 145-155lbs for 1-2 years but had bodyfat about 16-18%.

I am now like 10% bodyfat. I could easily gain 20lbs fat+muscle and be back to 150lbs 16% again which I dont mind.

However, I am trying to stay lean...but why? I dont know lol

I wonder how long it will take to gain 15lbs mostly muscle.

ATM my flexed arm is 11.5-12inches. I started at 10 inches.

I think to not be skinny 14 inches is a good goal? I have no intention to be swole just like a soccer player size.

    http://images5.fanpop.com/image/phot...39-399-594.jpg

This guy is a Madrid player Sergio Canales and listed as 5'9 140-145lbs. So I think if I get to 150lbs I will be of similar build/size.

I am happy with this as I play soccer anyway and speed is part of my play. Plus I was eatign 4000+clas just to maintain 145-155lbs before and that was a pain Id hate to have to eat een more food.

Anyway, I guess Im not asking any questions. Just stating my history adn plans. Any thoughts, advice and imput welcome.

I will do 4 day split.

    Back/biceps

    Chest/triceps

    Legs

    shoulders

ANd try to eat 3000kclas at 1st. If no gains 3500 then 4000

    foods:
    eggs
    meats
    furits+vege
    olive oil
    fish oil
    fish
    shakes

    etc....

Why are people always trying to fuck with their biology? I'm not saying you are, but we got skinny guys trying to become not skinny and we got not skinny dudes trying to become skinny. Here is what, in my opinion, defines functional good shape.

Be able to run 2 miles in under 20 minutes.
Be able to do 5+ pull ups in one set.
Be able to do 30+ pushups in one set.

If you are able to do these things, it means you probably look okay. It also means that your carbon suit, as Jackxxx would say, is in good shape for it's environment. That is what is important. Enjoy eating 4,000 calories per day, it won't last forever .

I know I can do the pull ups and the puships............the 2 miles in under 20 minutes?? Don't know that I could do that but I do run when I go to the gym. I think it's pretty cool that I'm the age I am and CAN do manual pull ups, wide grip too, without much problem.
It's a tough job being good looking and hung :-)

You can probably do it MBD. It is just 6 mph...an average paced jog. Maybe not without any training but if you are in pretty good shape (and you are if you can do the 5 pull-ups) then after just a week or two I'd bet the house you can do it. Anyway those aren't absolute numbers by any means.

I did a mile in about 13 minutes... Just over 12 at my best LOL! I've NEVER been able to do a pull up, so that's out of the question. I can do pushups til you tell me to stop though.

I agree with you. And beleive me I hate eating. So, Id be happy if I were happy skinny but 5'10 135lbs does not look good man.

Fitness is not an issue it never was. I have been playing sports and for sports teams since a kid and never stopped. SOccer clubs to and playing football 3x per week etc...I really have great fitness. I just want seize. Even for my own safety. I dont feel safe walking about so skinny. In nightclubs and when playing soccer/football also I feel real skinny/weak compared to other guys.

Fitness lol. Well I run a mile in bout 7minutes.

I can do 17-20 chin ups and about 10-12 pull ups in 1 set.

I can do between 50-60 push ups to failure.

So, yes I am fit but my goal was not fitness it was weight gain. Thats why I was 155lbs 18% bf for 1-2 years just to be bigger. People always saying you so skinny you not eat etc...to me. You need to gain weight etc...Personally I look weak and like a kid. I dislike it so weight gain is my goal. Sadly eating 3000-4000kcals per day every day is like a job and very depressing actually. As well as tiem consuming.

I was 6'1" and 150lbs and hated it, tall and skinny. Started to lift weights and eat to gain weight, I'm 205 now and love it. Go for it and don't look back.

Well...since your body is in good shape, there is no reason to change it. That is just my opinion. I'm glad you agree...

Buy a chocolate weight gainer shake and just make huge ice cream weight gainer shakes. They're delicious and have 3-4 thousand calories per shake with peanut butter and ice cream.

Did you notice much difference in terms of attention from women as you added weight?

I'm in the same boat, 5'11" 142 lbs. right now, I just never have much of an appetite though and rarely finish meals. I've started working out with free weights and am drinking a lot more milk b/c it's probably the easiest way to get calories. It just seems like women don't take skinny guys as seriously, although it is nice being in good general shape.

That picture of Canales in the OP isn't too bad, my ideal build would probably be Cristiano Ronaldo. I forget his weight, but I think it's only 165-170 ish at 6'1", but he looks reasonably built and is obviously in great condition.

                    Starting as of 2/1/11: 6.4 BPEL x 4.8 MSEG (5.6 NBPEL)
Just hoping to put together one full month of actually sticking to a routine and go from there.
My goals mainly revolve around developing high EQ erections that last during sex.

Yes I can just use weight gainers if I want to gain weight without all the stress of cooking etc.

but I really dont know how healthy they are.

Nor who healthy it is to eat 4000kcals per day and to try to maintain 20-40lbs over your natural weight?

Thats why I only aim for something like 145-160lbs because even though that is still small for a guy its weigh over my genetic set weight.

At man utd early days hes like 6'1 or 6'2 and 165-170. I believe that and if you look at pics he has bulked up a lot at Madrid and prob more 180-190 tbh. But when he was 18-22ish about 165-170 and looked good.

Canales is not great but its a goal for me, coming from 5'11 120lbs you already have 20lbs on me and think you are skinny. So, you are almost at same size as Canales, maybe 10lbs more due to height. So, for me Canales is more realistic goal than C.Ronaldo.

As for females, not being conceited I always had females interested in me but that was due to my face and dress sense as this is girls approaching me without ever talking to me. I think only being real overweight is a problem.

I used to think girls didnt like skinny guys but it depends on your face. Look at young Leo Di caprio, Justin Beiber etc... I look a bit like Di caprio when he was young face+body.
                        http://30.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lc...0v72o1_500.gif

Even dudes like Jonny Depp etc were skinny young dudes, think they dont get pussy lol. But yeh perhaps they dont take you serious for long term safe bf/husband. I really have no idea

                        Face>body

But if your face is nothing special definitely best get a nice athletic body IMO.

My problem was acne. Oh man, I had severly bad acne on my back and pretty bad on my face. Clearing up my skin now I get more attention from females than ever, even compared to when I bulked up to 155-160.

I find it odd though......I did some jogging on the treadmill this morning and the tops of my feet by where my ankle is got so fatigued, it felt like my feet had turned into bricks so I had to slow to a fast walk........this has happened before so it's not totally new to me but it was weird that it happened to cardio workouts in a row.......
