About 2 years ago i was doing press ups everyday at boxing. I was only doing about 100 a day, and i was also playing alot of tennis and aikido which involed my arms being pulled alot, and also playing darts, and after a few months of that routine my arms just said fuck you and started hurting. 2 years on and im still getting alot of pain, the pain is located near my funny bone on my elbow and its a dull aching pain. It worsens when i do weights so i cant lift, ive not done any exercise for 2 years because of this but my job involes alot of lifting, anyone got any advice. Been to doctors, he felt it, moved it, said it can take 2 years to cure and for me to do crosstrainer at the gym. Thanks

your doctor is lazy and didn't give you great advice. that is textbook tendonitis.
i've had the same thing in my wrists and elbows for years and years. its tough to get rid of completely but fairly easy to cope with and deal. first off what you need to do is find what NSAIDs work best for you and your medical needs. i prefer ibuprofin around 600-800mg when its bothering me. ICE is very important. its all about swelling reduction. there are loads that you can still do without straining it. maybe you can't do heavy overhead lifts, but with proper delicacy, you should be able to get a good workout still.
think about a thread going through a needle - this is an average tendon working correctly. now tie a knot on either side of the needle, this is what your elbow looks like, the tendon is swollen and doesnt fit causing pain..The force is strong with you young Skywalker. Obi Wan has trained you well.
