  • New amazing green tea research

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about the whole green tea thing until I saw this article in the New Scientist today:

Green tea could mask testosterone doping
Green tea could mask testosterone doping - health - 24 March 2012 - New Scientist

The article is based on this study published on the 10th of March - so very recent research indeed:

ScienceDirect.com - Steroids - Dietary green and white teas suppress UDP-glucuronosyltransferase UGT2B17 mediated testosterone glucuronidation

I think that's really cool, I knew it had great effects but not that great.

I have been on TRT the past 9 months to off-set my ED. However, my endocrinologist has recommended that I start to ween myself off of TRT in order to prevent atrophy of my testes. I will now increase my I consumption of green tea to off-set the reduction of exogenous T.

I take matcha powder and add it to my protein shake.

            Anyone else use matcha?

I've not heard of that, Toadstool - is it another name for maca?

Not sure, but I can tell you it is a powder used frequently in Starbucks to make their green tea latte's and frappucinos. It is also what gives green tea ice cream its flavor.

                    Maca and matcha are different.
Maca is ginseng if I remember. Matcha is green tea powder made in japan. It's much more expensive than regular green tea.

Green tea is great for you; it just tastes like crap. Now if they had green coffee? Can you tell I hate tea?
