    Favorite Supplements?

I'm currently using. Kind of expensive, but it's damn good in water. Other Protein powders I've used HAVE to be put in milk or a smoothy or something, else it's terribly gritty and gross. The Promax Bars, cookies and cream are by far the best tasting protein bar I've ever had.

Met RX Big 100 protein bars. I'm sadly addicted to them, lol.
The caramel and roasted peanut ones taste exactly like a Snickers bar and the chocolate chunk ones taste like a 3 Musketeers bar.

Look at your protein bar as a snickers bar.
The "nutrition" content on almost all tested reveal WAY higher fat and carbs and less protein than on the label. Logically how can something with the stated ratios taste THAT YUMMY! ?? When im in training i would only hit one of those bars in an emergency. A good time to hit one would be post training when your protein shake should be 2/3rd carbs.

My fav supplement is creatine and BCAA's...Brands? Optimum Nutrition or AST get my business.

Some have labels that lie, some don't. It's all about doing research.

And it's logical for something with those ratios to taste that good. Everyone has different tastes.

I take supplements to increase blood flow. The most effective one I have come across is Maxidus. I take one three hours in advance and another 30 minutes in advance and i can generate a soft (70%) erection similar to what I can get with 50 mg of Viagra. The cost starts at 10 for $39. However, higher quantities and special buys can reduce the cost to under $2 per pill.

Every bar failed miserably when tested as i recall, some better than others.

View bars and muscle milk like candy because thats what it is, it spikes your insuline.

Failed? How did they fail? What were the standards? Can you provide a link to this test and/or study?

But you do know that everything you eat spikes insulin levels, right? I don't know where you're getting your information from, but where ever it is, you should stop listening to them/it.

I have used many supplements so far. By far THE best supplement combination I can suggest and I KNOW it works fast and good is:

BSN Syntha 6 (or BSN True Mass if you dont eat as much), BSN NO-Explode, BSN Nitrix

I suggest using the protein as a meal supplement and never by itself (if your meal has no or low protein then you use the protein after you eat). NO-Explode should be used a few minutes before every workout. Nitrix should be used throughout the day. I never used many Nitrix tablets. I think about 3-4 every day along with a meal.

I have used this cycle many times with each lasting about 8-12 weeks. I can assure you that the results are really impressive and most it stays even after the cycle.

Almost 100% of the serious bodybuilders who I've conversed with about it absolutely HATE NO Xplode. Personally it's my favorite but you're one of very very few people that I've seen that actually likes it besides me.

If you're looking for proteins, True Protein (now truenutrition.com) is far and away the best place to get protein. You can completely customize every ingredient and the quality is incredible, everything I've ordered from there blends incredibly and tastes great. Also it's much much cheaper than any other protein I've bought. Honestly I don't know how it's not bigger.

DISCLAIMER: I've never ordered anything from this new site: truenutrition.com. It used to just be trueprotein.com and it was an incredible product, I assume the product hasn't changed but I could be wrong.

Well, judging from that i wouldn't listen to you at all on supplementation. Come on, common sense prevails. There is no one checking supplement accuracy. Its under regulated in the US where most are made. This was years ago so i dont have the study nor do i intend to trawl the net just to prove something to you.... Failed as they in some cases hilariously under stated the fat and carb.sugar content. Why is this hard for you to accept?..Ever tried to cook a sugar fat free dessert.?..Ever ate one? You said yourself the protein bars taste like snickers. Common sense....Or maybe i just made it up???

Hard to believe my post has you criticizing some the most advance strength and diet coaches in the world. Obviously everything a person ingests induces an insulin response of some type but how much???

My only other comment that indicates any knowledge was my post workout shake.

I would also like to know this Project9. You can't just make claims like that ("Every bar failed miserably when tested as i recall, some better than others.") without providing some kind of evidence or link to your source. I've searched a little (pretty limited search, admittedly) and found that only a few brands (about 30%) have misleading information in their labels. Note I didn't say inaccurate I said misleading. I'm pretty sure it's against the law to put false information on a nutrition label, there is no way major companies could get away with posting blatant lies in their nutrition labels. You might not want to act like one of the most knowledgeable members of this site is incompetent about a subject that is kind of his specialty.

EDIT: I also think that the study you are referring to might have taken place before the FDA started cracking down on labels in 2001

Yes, I have cooked a sugar free desert, I have eaten a sugar free desert, and I actually prefer sugar free Jello's taste over the regular Jello.

I just use hemp protein after my workout. All natural and 21g of protein per serving. I did alot of research and its basically the healthiest thing you can have.

perhaps you were referring to bad suppliers, but that should just be a lesson to be learned for the future; always buy from reliable brands.
