I practice with a Japaneese Soroban daily (Japaneese abacus - i have a few real ones and I also have a few soroban apps on my phone). This is great mental exercise! I can do math faster on my soroban now than I can with a calculator and I'm starting to reach a point where I can mental math by vidualizing the soroban in my head.

Yeah, I'm a bit of a nerd at times. I love mental stimulation

Is it only one game called "tracking"? Or are there more games available?

I love the fact that they tell your brain age.

Anyone know of a good way to increase memory power? I've seen people who can memorize a shuffled deck of cards within 5 minutes. Does anyone know any resources on how to do this? Apparently, photographic memories are a learned trait

I hear that reading a book ( you guys know what those are right) is great exercise for your brain. And if you have a library it's free. Yup old fashioned but it works.

I only did it once but I had a lucid dream in which I sat in an arm chair. Took a book from a bookcase. Opened it and there it was. Lord of the rings. I could read it again and really fast. Didnt hapen again ;/

I have a e-book called "How to develop perfect memory" or something like that. Still learning but remembering a list of 10-15 things is easy.
Start: BPEL: 17,5 cm | EG: ~15 cm
Current: BPEL: 19 cm | EG: ~15 cm
Goal: BPEL: 22-23 cm | EG: 17-18cm with big glans.

Goal is more of a look issue than a number issue. I prefer girth over length. And hopefully girls will to...

I used to be able to do that. I could do it again if I started practicing for a bit. You have an image associated with each card, and some kind of system for remembering what the image is in the first place, and then link the images together in funny ways. I could also get someone to remove a few cards, go through the shuffled deck once and know which cards where removed using that system. Never sounds impressive when I say it though :/

For that trick, you destroy every image associated with the card is some humorous way, and then you go through the images and the ones that weren't destroyed stand out.

There's memory systems I think called the "Link" system and the "Peg" system. Remembering 15 items on a shopping list you'd probably use the link system and if you needed to memorise like 50 or 100 things you'd use the peg system. The link system can be learnt really quickly and you can amaze yourself in minutes

From Mnemonic link system - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A mnemonic link system, sometimes also known as a chain method, is a method of remembering lists, based on creating an association between the elements of that list. For example, if one wished to remember the list (dog, envelope, thirteen, yarn, window), one could create a link system, such as a story about a "dog stuck in an envelope, mailed to an unlucky black cat playing with yarn by the window". It is then argued that the story would be easier to remember than the list itself.

A probably more effective[citation needed] method rather than creating a story is to actually link each element of the list with the following, seeing in one's mind's eyean image that includes two elements in the list that are next to each other. This would form an open doubly linked list which could be traversed at will, backwards or forwards. For example, if we wanted to easily memorize the last list one would imagine his or her dog inside of a giant envelope, then one would "see" an unlucky black cat (or whatever reminds the user of the number thirteen; other techniques such as the Major system can assist with this) eating a huge envelope. The same logic should be used with the rest of the items. The observation that absurd images are easier to remember is known as the Von Restorff effect, but was refuted as a mnemonic technique by several studies (Hock et al. 1978; Einstein 1987). Important is not the absurdness but the established interaction between the two words. By combining this method with others, like the Peg system and the Major system (which is used to retain numbers), we can easily get what some people call a trained memory.

This is excellent psychological exercise! I can do numbers quicker on my soroban now than I can with a finance calculator and I'm beginning to arrive at a factor where I can psychological numbers by visualizing the soroban in my go.
