I used to have it really bad on my scalp until I saw a dermatologist in late 2010, now it's only small scales on three parts of my scalp but it's still annoying me, feels disgusting and I worry that it is messing with my hair growth and hoping it isn't destroying hair follicles. It is mild but I don't want to keep it obviously, at the moment I'm just using prescribed ear ointment (which is used for dry skin but I'm using this ointment because I can't use anything too strong for my scalp), it hasn't got rid of it and I don't think it ever will. Is there any natural remedies for clearing psoarisis?

There are some herbal remedies, but I've never bothered to learn about them because I have mild psoriasis and I just roll with it. Just keep my hair very short and I'm not bothered with it.Start: BPEL: 17,5 cm | EG: ~15 cm
Current: BPEL: 19 cm | EG: ~15 cm
Goal: BPEL: 22-23 cm | EG: 17-18cm with big glans.
Goal is more of a look issue than a number issue. I prefer girth over length. And hopefully girls will to...

I read that many doctors recommend Eucerin and Cataphil Restoraderm.Valued Member of 12+ years at the PEGym12/'09 (start) NBP EL - 4.5, EG - 4.4

A female friend of mine was troubled by psoriasis on her one hand. She had it for a long time. By random, she discovered something that worked for her: She had a baby with a diaper rash, and she used Calendula ointment which she mixed a couple of drops of tea tree oil into, rubbed it on the baby, and what was left on her hand, she used as a hand cream. She did this daily, and to her surprise her psoriasis soon vanished. When it came back after some time, she did the same treatment, and it vanished fast. Not sure whether Calendula ointment is worth trying into the scalp (will grease the hair too much), but perhaps the tea tree oil has a good quality by itself.
In past I sometimes had this itchy scalp, and I invented my own receipe on curing it; I used a combination of Aloe Vera gel with a few drops of tea tree oil in it, and the irritation left immediately. I continued to do this each week since, and the scalp always feel great, the hair looks clean even if not washing it for days, and there are never any dandruff.
If not curing the psoriasis, perhaps you could try it yourself to see if it may alleviate the symptoms.

Salutations, my fellow PEer! I know what you're talking about and going through all too well. I've had psoriasis for about four years now. I've spent so much money and time these years past researching treatments, trying lotions, seeing dermatologists, mixing oils, ruining pillow cases, wrapping up my head, and equally inane regimens all in the hopes of getting rid of it. The absolute best solution I have found is the following: continuously monitor your food intake. Somewhere along the line, for reasons specific to your genotypic or phenotypic make up, your body became out of balance. Stay away from foods high in fat, sugar, and saturated oils. Fruits are a bit of an exception, but sugary ones in moderation [i.e., don't eat 35 cherries which run at about 1g of sugar/cherry; that would just about be the equivalent of a 20oz. of Coke]. In general, avoid processed foods. Go as natural as you can for the next month or so.
The only shampoo I use now for psoriasis is Mg217. It's a medicated, over the counter brand that really helps. I use it about twice a week, shampooing first and leaving the suds in, completing the rest of my shower, and then rinsing it out. Coupled with the diet, it's night and day, the difference.
Here's some more proof: I have been flake/itch free for about two weeks now. The only reason otherwise is because I cheat on the diet. Last night, my brother and I celebrated with my sister for her birthday by having burgers and shakes, just like we used to when we were kids. I knew the moment I saw those burgers that in the morning, the ol' scalp would be at it again. I could almost feel it. Sure enough, it's 8:33am, and my scalp is itching.
I'll leave the rest to you. I hope it all works out.Started 24th November 2012
