during the summer, one of friends introduced me to monster energy drinks.
at first I was pretty sceptical about the whole "energy drink" thing but I gave it a try anyway and found out it tasted really good!
so we started drinking a can each whenever we went out to town.
I had a look at the ingridients and it says caffeine 0.03% which is rather low in my opinion and for something that tasted that good,I didn't think it could have other sideeffects other than keeping you awake at night.
till recently
I don't know...I kinda find myself wanting to drink a can to keep my spirits up or something just because I like the taste so much but since it's loaded with things I've never heard before,I also try to avoid it so I limit myself to a can per week, maximum 2 cans per week.
I started searching around and it seems that the sideffects could be disastrous....they're even investigating deaths because people drank too much for crying out loud
and then there are not so severe cases where people really do end up with less than they started with...caffeine addiction being the lesser sideffect here.
now,I'm 22 at the moment and I hate the very taste of coffee in my mouth,I can't understand why people continue to drink something that tastes so awful and so bitter so I'd rather not get myself addicted to caffeine through energy drinks -.-
what do you guys think of the monster energy drink specifically?
good? bad?
any articles you can come up with for me to read up?
I'd also like to state that I only drink it just because it tastes soooooo nice and so much different from everything else...I'm full of energy with or without energy drinks
oh and I only drink the "ripper" and "lo-carb" versions of monster drink once or maximum twice a week
