I started to notice that my hairline was going a bit backward last year during Christmas .. I had a very rough time at school with a scholarship in a bank and LOTS of tasks .. I did well and got my bachelor degree, but my sleeping pattern was bad. I had a lot of stress and back then I was really out of shape. I also been smoking for 3 years back then. I didn't workout for 2 years .. I also got some heart aches .. I know this one day during that scholarship. I was very tired and constantly under stress/pressure because I wanted to perform well so my boss was glad. I suddenly got a big ache in my heart for like 5 seconds .. I thought I was going to die that day on a heart attack or something ..
My hygiene was bad back then, especially oral hygiene. I nearly ever brushed my teeth. Result: my tooth flesh (is that how you call it in English?) is white, I have bad breath and the constant (very light) pain put some more stress on my body I guess.
Long story short, I started to blame all of the stress on my hair loss. Especially since I've red on these forums that stress is the number one cause of hairloss.
Now, I recently (3 weeks ago) stopped smoking .. for good (no joke). I always had bad breath and I want to be fit and as healthy as possible again. I want to reduce the damage I did to my body as much as possible..
I also started working out again 6 weeks ago. I'm going for my masters degree, and it's gonna be hard, but I told myself I will never quit working out again .. I was always in top shape .. When I started running (for 2 weeks last year, the only "workouts" I got back then) .. I was enthusiastic, but I catched out of breath very quickly .. To the point were I almost threw up next to the road .. It shocked me.
The workouts put some more stress on my body but after those workouts it also feels very nice ..
I don't put any gel in my hair anymore because I'm scared this will dry out my hair and break them or that my hair just falls out even quicker. I am constantly aware of my hair. Constantly. It's not that bad at the moment but I take it as a "sign" and I'm scared everything will start falling out (yes my dad, granddads on both sides are bald)..
What I notice, is that the "balder" spots get always very oily quickly .. You now that "shiny bowling ball"-look on a bald guy .. Well, that kind of oil .. When I get home after school, I always immediately wash the oil away from my forehead with a wash cloth .. Is this something to worry about?
Sorry that everything is not organised in this post .. I'm tired and I just hope I get some good advice/tips/tricks/motivation. Thanks in advance!
(PS: I don't want to use any minoxidil and all those other scary chemicals on my head
just sayin. I once red it fucks with your hormones. I also don't want to hear "just rock it man" .. Eventually I will have to "just rock it", but for now, I'd like to hear some really good stuff that helps preventing male pattern baldness (lower DHT, etc.))
