I started to notice that my hairline was going a bit backward last year during Christmas .. I had a very rough time at school with a scholarship in a bank and LOTS of tasks .. I did well and got my bachelor degree, but my sleeping pattern was bad. I had a lot of stress and back then I was really out of shape. I also been smoking for 3 years back then. I didn't workout for 2 years .. I also got some heart aches .. I know this one day during that scholarship. I was very tired and constantly under stress/pressure because I wanted to perform well so my boss was glad. I suddenly got a big ache in my heart for like 5 seconds .. I thought I was going to die that day on a heart attack or something ..

My hygiene was bad back then, especially oral hygiene. I nearly ever brushed my teeth. Result: my tooth flesh (is that how you call it in English?) is white, I have bad breath and the constant (very light) pain put some more stress on my body I guess.

Long story short, I started to blame all of the stress on my hair loss. Especially since I've red on these forums that stress is the number one cause of hairloss.

Now, I recently (3 weeks ago) stopped smoking .. for good (no joke). I always had bad breath and I want to be fit and as healthy as possible again. I want to reduce the damage I did to my body as much as possible..

I also started working out again 6 weeks ago. I'm going for my masters degree, and it's gonna be hard, but I told myself I will never quit working out again .. I was always in top shape .. When I started running (for 2 weeks last year, the only "workouts" I got back then) .. I was enthusiastic, but I catched out of breath very quickly .. To the point were I almost threw up next to the road .. It shocked me.

The workouts put some more stress on my body but after those workouts it also feels very nice ..

I don't put any gel in my hair anymore because I'm scared this will dry out my hair and break them or that my hair just falls out even quicker. I am constantly aware of my hair. Constantly. It's not that bad at the moment but I take it as a "sign" and I'm scared everything will start falling out (yes my dad, granddads on both sides are bald)..

What I notice, is that the "balder" spots get always very oily quickly .. You now that "shiny bowling ball"-look on a bald guy .. Well, that kind of oil .. When I get home after school, I always immediately wash the oil away from my forehead with a wash cloth .. Is this something to worry about?

Sorry that everything is not organised in this post .. I'm tired and I just hope I get some good advice/tips/tricks/motivation. Thanks in advance!

(PS: I don't want to use any minoxidil and all those other scary chemicals on my head just sayin. I once red it fucks with your hormones. I also don't want to hear "just rock it man" .. Eventually I will have to "just rock it", but for now, I'd like to hear some really good stuff that helps preventing male pattern baldness (lower DHT, etc.))

I feel your pain. Nothing worked for me, I tried it all. Eventually the hairloss will catch up with you. I resorted to hair graft surgery 5 years ago and it has been fantastic. Down side is I spent 10K on the surgery. It will take another 20K to get a full head of hair. I will do one more surgery but I dont care about the top of my head. It sucks man. I have learned to deal with it.

Milk Thistle is supposed to help prevent baldness onset by DHT. It's pretty cheap too, may be worth a shot

If I start to go completely bald, well so be it .. It's also one of the reasons I started to train hard again. If I go bald I'll go for the "bouncer" - type of bald guy .. Big, muscular, bald, beard .. I'm fine with that look ..

But I really believe the (starting) baldness is because of the stress I had to endure the last few years .. You're not a kid anymore that doesn't worry about a thing .. You are becoming an adult that needs a degree, a job, a home, etc.. It creates stress ..

Is it possible that hair regrows if your body has endured all of the stress? I'm looking for some natural (healthy) things that can help preventing baldness ..

In the past I thought, well, if you have high testosterone: you are fucked. But this isn't true is it? Testosterone is a good thing, it's the DHT, a "new form" of testosterone that is bad for your hair .. Am I correct? Are there ways to lower DHT? (I've done some research before and yes google is my friend but if you are on a forum for enhancing your dick you are probably someone who really wants to work a lot on himself and probably knows a lot about "becoming a better you")

        @DonJelqer and Bnip: thanks guys!

Shave it off once it becomes noticeable, nothing worse than a guy trying to hold onto his hair.

Mine started falling out when I was 19. My dad, and all my uncles but 2 on my moms side were bald. So I was screwed from the get go. I was very self conscious about for many years. Finally I said the hell with it, quit wearing a hat for the most part, and started shaving with a razor(I had been buzzing it down with no guard). Feels good to quit giving a shit honestly lol.

Not sure if anyone else in this thread can relate but I recently was diagnosed with a condition called Alopecia when suddenly began balding at the back of my head.

I recently had steroid based injections into my scalp and am already slowly having hair return to the area. Get the next round at the end of November.

If anyone's unsure I'd recommend seeing your GP and sussing it out.

Keep your hair short, or beat God to the punchline, and just shave it bald now.

Seriously, some of the sexiest men in the world are bald. You cannot win a fight with Father Time or Mother Nature. Don't even try.

I have gradually come to terms with my thinning hair. I strongly believe that you can take the sting out of it by getting in really good shape - lean face.

Hair may regrow as the stress passes. But for most men, hair is a lost cause...

                            Hello,

Here is what it has worked for me quite well.

Said in advance that I´ve been on finas, minoxidil, and a very long etc.
My regimen that I´ve cought from inmortalhair forum is very easy to follow, cheap and whithout side effects.

With a bristle boar brush I pass with it 600 times a day my scalp or balding area.Very effective, try it.

I take a gellatin supplement every day (knox gellatin).

With those two things I have stopped my balding process and I see some minor regrowth. But,mainly is very useful to mantain that you already have.

                            Cheers
