I love Calisthenics! Who's with me?

I have made Great progression from when i started i can now do a planche hold of a bench and keep body completely straight. But im trying to do what this guy does here. I only pick this because he breaks it down and i have never watched a more detailed video. If anyone is trying to get into shape or more advanced shape (ME)
then check this out and work towards it.

I love calisthenics too! I've been working with Convict Conditioning for a little over a year now and am more than half way through the 10 steps and 30lbs lighter.

Yea man its so great for your body, did you get a chance to take a look at that video. It has a ton of pushing exercises with the progressions to build to the next ones.

Maybe someone wants to have a little competition with me to achieve some of these things. A friendly one of course but i find if you have a partner you are more motivated. Im already a super motivated guy when it comes to training but a little more cant hurt.

Thanks for posting this for me Dangler i dont know why i am unable to start new threads

WOW! Great video Clutch. I'm getting into the CC myself, and the beginning parts looked familiar.

But when that guy got to the unassisted handstand push-ups on the bars..... Whoa!
Going an inch and 1/2 deeper than before

Yes I did, and dude I'm nowhere near there yet! I'm somewhere between 186 and 195 depending on how much salt I eat during the week. And I'm still working with slow and controlled pushups with one hand on a basketball and the other hand on the ground. I still have some excess body fat I'm fighting, but I am doing really good with the Convict Conditioning approach.

Im serious, my gym closed a month ago and I've been working out at home. I could use some new encouragement to get excited about working out again.

Man only thing is the way me and everyone else does it is we post videos of us doing the exercises, its more motivating. I would say make a closed group on facebook where we could do this but that would mean disclosing who you are and due to the nature of this website might be difficult for some people. Any suggestions? Groups on here no offense Pe gym but they dont seem that active to me

That's true. But, I have a shell profile on Facebook for things like this (well not quite like this). Everyone who wants to participate could create a shell account like this that we could share videos across. What do you think?

I was currently working toward 100 pushups, but this sounds way more fun! I notice he says that you should move on once you hit 5-8 reps. That should move me along much faster, I know several of the part I exercises I can already do.

Wow, these exercises are EXTREME! The amount of strength and flexibility involved is unbelievable. Would love to get into these and I think my housemate would be too but I am a long long way off from this level. I might jump in and join you in a few weeks or months when I have more strength/lose more weight. The guy in the video is ripped!

You guys should try Focus T25! This stuff is intense but it feels great once you start getting into shape! It's by Shawn T. It's quick stuff, only 25 minutes. Of course, this is only a suggestion. It seems like most of you already have other things in mind. You should check it out. I downloaded it from the pirate bay and it comes with workout calendars.
                            Start:
                            (1/6/14) BPEL: 6 3/4" NBPEL: 5 3/4" EG: 5 3/16" BPFSL: 7" NBPFSL: 6 1/8"

                            Short term goal: BPEL: 7 3/16" EG: 5 7/8"

What Shawn T is taking advantage of is called EPOC look it up. It's called Excess Post-exercise oxygen consumption. What it is happening is when you work out very intensely for a short amount of time with little to no breaks, between 25 and 45 minutes you invoke EPOC ( also known as the after burn effect. It puts your body at an oxygen deficit. Why that is significant is that it throws your body off of homeostasis and the body wants to work efficiently so its working to repair your body. Thing is it doesn't have enough oxygen to get the job done. So your burning off extra calories for up to 48 hours after trying to create energy from whatever sources are readily avaliable in the body. Like fat . He's smart for doing that though really good gimmick. Lol

It really has nothing to do with the exercises you do it's the intensity at which you perform the exercises. You can even do this lifting weights but no one minutes breaks in between sets and try to do supersets as well. Good cutting strategy.
