  • Has anyone tried ice baths after working out

ice baths help me recover quicker after intense weights and cardio. they are erm challenging mentally but with practice this isnt much of an issue

anyone else had good recovery results from this ?
will using ice baths after training ruin your pe training aswell, i PE on different days to the gym and ice baths
Infact i have a relaxing hot bath 3 times a week prior to prepare for my 3 PE sessions

I have heard that ice baths can increase testosterone so thats a brucey bonus wheras too much hot water lowers it but also some of you guys cool down after your PE anyway right.

During football camp, I live and breathe by ice baths. 10-15 minutes in and you feel a lot better than you normally would the next day.

      Ice Bath

I haven't tried an ice bath, but have cooled down with a cold rice sock. Definitly helped cement my gains from stretching.
Had a very plump flaccid after, for several hours.
An ice bath would be good for the body after an intense work-out.

Ice baths are well established in sport but there effect on pe is only recently been considered.
So you can consider yourselves a cuting edge experiment maxi and mael.
One of the senior members is experimenting with something similar to mael, I have used contrast showers after PE.
So perhaps we will get an idea down the track.

Tooooooooo damn cold, rather have a large glass of erection tea to boost testosterone.

I did this in football. It worked really really well. I think I'm going to start doing this again, because I need the boost. Have any you guys heard of contrast showering? I would do it more often, but I just don't like staying in a shower too long.

Yes i have been doing contrast showers. I think they are ok, but ice baths would be better for gym recovery.

Ever since I was 10 years old or so, I have been obsessive-compulsive about HAVING to turn the shower on as cold as it will go at the end of my shower. I think its not only good for my skin, but also when I lift weights, and after a work out, I like to get in the cold water for the reasons you speak of for the ice baths.

Now, of course, I SWEAR by the PE "cool-down" rather than "warm-down". And I seem to feel/notice that with a PE cool-down, I ALSO incorporate helicopter swings when I put the water on cold, and I thinkit helps retain more blood for healing, and keeps the dick engorged longer after PE exercise sessions.

Yeah the ice would be able to penetrate deeper. Cold shower after workout for me doesn't get into the muscles that much.

Yeah that does wonders for the skin, I notice a huge difference when I end the shower with cold water. Just I find it hard to do sometimes, and then wish I had later on.

I also agree about the cool down part.
