  • cures for acne

Since this is the only 'health section', i'll start this thread here..

Acne has always been a problem for me and tried everything to get rid of scars/pimples/zits and still now it bothers me alot. Over time acne went away only on my face and have minor scars, but still have them on my chest, back and public region..

dieting helped alot but didn't work all over my body, applying aloe vera helped aswell for a couple of weeks, but acne went back when i stopped using it, same as lemons as it works even on the scars, i used to take prescribed pills for a full month and had minor good results but it wasn't effettive and permanent as i thought it was..

Infact i may need something permanent to cure my acne. I don't think it'll get worse, i just want to get rid of it once and for all.

What are your advices to be acne-free?
Always do your best. Whatever you will plant now, You will harvest later.

Wash area with soap and warm water, 3 or more time a day. Depends on your activities.

    Clogged pores are the troublemakers.

This is exactly what I did to clear up my acne and blackheads: http://www.minimalistbeauty.com/high...ily-skin-care/ . My advice on this method: do NOT use castor oil like many sites suggest, use only use one oil and make it one high in linoleic acid, the ones I recommend are hempseed oil, grapeseed oil, pumpkin seed oil, and sesame seed oil. This is a good guide for oils: http://www.minimalistbeauty.com/oils...ne-prone-skin/ , I use grape seed oil.

One other thing that differs from the way she and I do it is I steam twice and wipe once but my skin is clean so wiping away all the bacteria on it isn't a huge deal, I consider it clean because if I ever get anything I'd consider dirty on it like a splash of dirty dishwater or anything like that I wash my face with a natural cleanser that has an ability to clean better instead of the oil that night and moisturize with the oil I use, I also shower before bed instead of the morning to keep my sheets clean and where my hoody hood up when laying down on the couch to keep whatever bacteria's on it away from my face. This is the cleanser I use for those days I mentioned: [Link Removed]

It may seem strange to wash your face with oil but pimples and blackheads are pores clogged with oil and water doesn't dissolve oil, oil dissolves oil, it's also much gentler than typical cleansers and being gentle with your skin is essential to having clear skin. Another recommendation of mine is switch to drinking distilled water. Also do NOT wash 3 times a day, I only wash once (the method from the link) before bed and splash with cold water in the morning, at first I did it twice daily and that was fine but stick to once or twice, also what I do since I shower at night and I think its best to use a mirror when I do the oil cleansing method is I just do it right after I step out of the shower.

Some other good advice is also: wash your hands before bed so you wont get any greece or anything on your pillow, keep the bottle of oil sanitary (clean outside with lysol) and store in a sanitary case/spot so you don't transfer bacteria on your face when cleansing, use a newly washed cloth each time, microfiber cloths work the best (do not use fabric sofenter/dryer sheets on these, in fact ditch the stuff all together) and they're cheap like 3$ for 6 you can find them in the auto section in places like Walmart or online. I'm not sure but I don't think oil has a good bacteria killing effect so this is why I think taking precautions to help keep your face as bacteria free as you can is important.

'Acne dot org' has good, inexpensive products that work well.

For me I've found that when I am following a paleo diet strictly my skin (face, back, chest) clears up by 98%. If I go back to a "standard American diet" and the skin problems come right back.

Or you can go to the doc and get acutane. If you have systic acne it is the only thing that will help.

I agree with SJ, I have known quite a few people who have found good results with the regime suggested on acne dot org.

Accutane is often recommended for severe acne cases but as with all medications, there is the potential for side-effects, some of them severe so use caution.

                Eliminate ALL Dairy:

                milk
                cheese
                whey protein
                yogurt

This helped me eliminate my cystic acne.

                Backed by science too:

***Most people are too lazy to give up dairy. It takes about 2 months to start seeing results because your old skin cells that were clogged have to die off first and shed.

Also, acne.org has a good cheap regimen. Cleanser, benzoyl peroxide

Accutane saved my life. I had terrible Cystic Acne Vulgaris in my Teens.

If you have it really bad, and it appears to be sticking around with nothing else helping it, I would strongly recommend you go to a Dermatologist.

Otherwise, all you can do is eat a Healthy Diet (get your recommended dosages of Vitamins & Minerals, drink plenty of Water, try not to overindulge on poor quality foods with a lot of Sugar), wash your Face regularly and hope for the best.

Long term experienced acne sufferer here. From my experiences wanking to the point of cumming was a major contribuing factor in my acne outbreaks!! Cum contains important vitamins n if youre blowing your load all the time you are loosing them precious vitamins that clear n heal your skin. Wanking will stuff up your hormone balance too n hormones is what causes acne.. Also diet and stress are huge contributing factors! Excercise regulary.. Cleanse your face morning and night, DONT WASTE YOUR CUM! Save it for sum vagina! And drink plenty of water and lots of sleep and also drink green tea! My skin is slowly clearing up since ive strted doing these things! But wanking n cumming is the one thing that makes me break out and also being depressed gives me pimples too!!

I'm chiming in because WAY too much bullshit and anecdotes passes around the net. The most critical piece of advice I learned (and I hear this at pegym too!) is that it takes time to see results. Like up to 4 weeks, 8 for the ladies because the hormones can mask progress for a short while. So if you change even ONE extra thing per month, you may have slipped up your chance to find what works.

I've had acne and clogged pores for decades. I checked out paulaschoice.com and reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/wiki/. Either at precisely June of 2015 my skin just got too old for that (hah!) or I've figured out what works for me. I've heard good things about Acne.org, but didn't need to keep searching.

I've made every mistake listed there. Poor diet (now I eat mostly Paleo), high stress (no more reading the news), picking at my face (prooving to be a very hard habit to break!). Now I wash, with crazy gentle 'pats' like my face was crepe paper, only once a day in cool water with a crazy gentle liquid cleanser (NOT soap) of pH5.5. I use 2%BHA wipe (like stridex red or paula's choice 2%BHA) once or twice a day. When I was still having outbreaks, I followed the kitchen sink model of bacterial avoidance: new pillow case every night, new face towel every wash, daily disposable antiBac wipe on keyboard/mouse/phone. I dip my razor in alcohol before/after I shave (seemed to keep cross contamination down). No more scrubs, buffpuff, hot water, alcohol/toner (on face that is). I would put 2%BenzP on breakout, but only 1-2days per week max. I never needed moisturizer, but for now I use a cerave liquid (pH5.5) or sunscreen. This winter I'm testing out a couple of sunscreen brands.

There are theory's for each specific, but the wiki/paula's/acne.org explain it better. In the end, it was the "only one change every four weeks" rule that made the difference. It was sooo hard to walk around with raging red inflamation into business meetings all day and not race home to try something/anything new. But I waited it out, trusted the 'gentle cleanser & BHA' routine, and cleared up my skin.

To anyone who may read this in the future, my advise to you would be don't waste your time looking up remedies and solutions on the internet. Acne is a medical condition and you should go see a dermatologist to end your problem.

Treatment varies prom person to person depending on skin types and the type of acne the person has. Yes there are different types of acne and the treatment varies depending on the severity, which can go from topical creams, to oral antibiotics por a couple of months, to taking accutane. All of the treatments are long term.

For acne scars there are several laser treatments available, but they can be quite expensive.

My acne cleared up when I STOPPED listening to my dermatologist. He prescribed my antibiotics for years which is not a good thing due to building up resistance. Every cream he recommended burned my face and made it worse. People use to call me tomato face.

Acne.org system is a good system along with cleaning up your diet.

For me, If I eat or drink any DAIRY I get cystic acne from it. I used to drink milk and eat cheese and yogurt.

Once I eliminated dairy from my diet my face cleared up 75 %.

Washing my face with cold water and using cetaphil face wash helped too.
