  • The Epitomy of Health

Far from it I am. probably will never be but I have made a turn around.

My weight got out of hand, I was up to 292 lbs. No energy, hurting in the joints, chest pains. I had to do something. So, I drive tucks for a living. While my truck is being loaded I used to check out things on here or go on FB or read a book on kindle. Well I started just walking around the truck while it is being loaded or unloaded. On a good day, if the app is recording correctly. Total walking will be a six mile day. I have also at home started doing some light weight workout. No need to train for Mr. Olympia. Just want to get to a good healthy weight.

To help out on my goal. I started to eat as clean as possible. I got off the sugary snack cakes. Can't tell you was the last time I ate a potato chip. Been eating a lot of fruits and vegetables and nuts and granola. Got away from fried foods, not completely though. I like my fried chicken and a greasy cheese burger every now and then. I save treats like that for my cheat day. I only drink one soft drink a day, drinking lots of water and iced tea.

I weigh myself on Sundays so even though I could go on the scale and come and type it in I am not. As of last Sunday I was down to 273 lbs. I am on a 2600 calories a day diet. I have yet to exceed that limit. The closes I have come to it was like 400 calories. I have cut my alcohol consumption down a good bit. That was something that was getting out of hand. I guess with my current situation marriage wise. A lot was causing me to be depressed, therefore the need to consume to not give a rats ass. Feeling good now, hope I can stick with it. Especially when your licensed roommate wants to lose weight, but refuses to make the lifestyle change. That is another issue for another time.

I am 6'4" and my goal is to get to 250 lbs. I really want to get rid of this stressed induced dicky do (any suggestions on how to accomplish that). I feel like I am on a good steady track. I started on September 14th.

I do physical work everyday as a Home Improvement Contractor. I have to admit, I'd be quite he specimen if I never drank another beer . So yeah, sacrifices like you have made along with the increased cardio will go a long way. It also seems to be easier to take off weight in the hot summer months and I always gain in the winter months. But overall, nice start, stay strong and try to smile everyday. It is easy to get in a shitty mood, it takes effort to be happy sometimes.

Do exactly what you are doing and nothing more. The correct way to lose weight is about a pound a week. You have done that so just keep doing it.
The world's still a toy if you just stay a boy!

Sounds like what you are doing is working well! Its all about finding the time during the day to exercise, which you have been doing. Congrats on the weight loss and I hope it continues to go well.

Last Sunday I weighed in at 271. This morning I weighed in at 267. Even after 4 beers and an unlimited amount of wings.

Awesome improvement! I was the same way few years ago, hence my screen name. I am still struggling to reach my goal, but I am at a healthy weight and am happy. I do love my beer though but never exceed my calorie target for the day. Do you use a calorie tracker or do it all in your head?
Guess I need to start keeping track.

Looks like I need to work on length.

I use a calorie tracker. The more walking/light cardio done. Extra calories are given. Sometimes I use them sometimes I don't. I am feeling better and my outlook on life has changed for the good. It is like something clicked inside me. I feel like something is missing if I do not do some exercises.

Keep striving for your goal. You're going to make it.

Keep going... I'd get it to 220 or less if I was you. You will gain some weight on the rebound, but keep most of your good habits. The alcohol and sugary snacks are some main culprits, but it is good to see your log and how quickly it has happened...

I need to do the same and have the same BS drinking habit of drinking because of some things I don't necessarily like in my relationship. I'm the same height as you and I'm scared to step on the scales because my weight might be close to your 292 before hand, which by the way is no excuse for it...

                        Congrats congrats congrats. ....

292 was exactly when? I know on 10/31 you said down to 273.

OK, I see started 09/14/2015... So 6 weeks 19 lbs... Then around 12-15 lbs a month thereafter. That's about how fast it happens and most of it is fat. congrats...

Keep going I have to do the same thing.

FUN FACT: Make your own hot sauce and burn fat with almost ANY food.

(mix Cayenne, Garlic oil, Apple Cider Vinegar and Iodine-crystals/himalayan Salt)

You can use that with your,.. chicken Wings.
