  • Getting cut, a mistake?

This may seem a bit reverse from what the forum is about, but the issue is, I've got short frenulum. Unlike similar reports that can be read on the forum, it isn't painful to me, but it does limit the glans erection quite a bit if the foreskin is pulled back. As the frenulum pulls the urethral opening to the very side of the penis, the glans deflates and due to the skin below it, there's really no "jump" between the shaft and the glans.

I've tried manual stretches of the frenulum for a month with no results. I did 3x30 seconds of stretching in-between my circular and regular shaft stretching reps. I haven't found any solutions of this on the forums.

So the ultimate solution came to my mind. Maybe I should just get cut? Hell, I guess it'll look better too. One of the thickest veins I've got is on the foreskin, which would be a shame. Should I do it? I haven't consulted anyone on the matter yet, but of the previously read reports here suggest that all the doctors suggest is cutting.

Can anyone, please, point me in the right direction?

I'm going to advise against it because I was circumcised as a child without my permission of course and now the underside of my penis above my circ scar looks fucked up it looks all rough and weird there's a little ball of skin to the left and other weird wrinkly lumps and I'm pretty sure circumcision is what caused my turkey neck, although I think I just had a bad circumcision because I don't think the weird lumpy wrinkles happen for everyone. Oh yeah and I also read that circumcision decreases sensitivity so that would mean less pleasurable sex.

      no its not a mistake.
i found myself in a very similar position. the glands was bent downwards so my dong looked strange, when getting his foreskin pulled back entirely.

in my shame of not showing that issue to a doc i cut the frenulum MYSELF. YES!...
i made a hole inside it, and with time it became bigger and bigger until....
the result: i dont regret it.

i havent lost sensitivity, my erogenous zone just has been shifted downwards. and even the scar is not numb.
i can pull my foreskin without any problems

before you get frustrated to do it by yourself...
let your doctor make the move. in case you want to avoid a circumcision for any price, a precise competent cut of the frenulum by him/her would solve the problem. at least mine was solved, even though i was a daredevil teenager...

      good luck!

Get WHAT cut? You certainly couldn't be considering circumcision for frenulum breve.

If you're going to stretch the frenulum you should get a prescription for Betamethasone ointment and do a couple minutes of stretching with every trip to the toilet for a few months before declaring it a failure. And if you decide for surgery, just a frenuloplasty that relieves the tightness without amputating anything is all you would need.

Just do a search on circumcision on facebook and check out all the pages against circumcision there's quite a few and they offer great info, I think that being circumcised is the worst thing that has ever happened to me and its a fact that you loose 60-70% of feeling from being circumcised that you can never get back even after restoring it, so you would experience 60-70% less pleasure during sex than a intact guy. I feel like killing the doctor who recommended I be circumcised. Check out the last link for a list of everything you'll lose even if it's successful. Just thinking of this makes me feel so angry/scarred/upset inside, sometimes even my eyes begin to get watery.

            Lavian:

A circumcision would be one of the worst mistakes you could ever make in your life. You can learn about stretching of your frenulum here:

Frenulum breve - no reason for circumcision

            Fixing tight foreskins and phimosis

Tissue expansion - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ask you doctor to prescribe betamethasone valerate .05 percent ointment to rub on your frenulum to help the stretching along.

If the stretching doesn't work, then you can get a urologist to snip your frenulum, but you get to keep your foreskin.

following your comments i must be a very lucky guy then?
did some of you anti-circumcision guys get circumcized on an adult age - to have a fair comparison?
i understand your criticism but do you have any reliable experiences from your personal side?

a person i knew decided to become circumcized and he said he lost no sensation at all. it was my former doctor (R.I.P) who told me his personal experiences on a private session.
              im just curious... please clarify

Hate to disparage the dead, but he lied. As he is a person who may have performed or recommended circumcisions, you can imagine the power of cognitive dissonance to compel him to believe he had hadn't harmed himself or others.

ANY doctor will explain that following circumcision a male has intense glans sensitivity that will be annoying as the penis rubs against briefs. They'll say don't worry, it will calm down as the glans dries out and toughens. HOW can that not be the very definition of lost sensations?

And that doesn't even yet consider the loss of thousands of pleasure-receptive nerve endings in the foreskin, and the loss of the exquisite frictionless gliding mode of stimulation as the skin tube slinks over the erect shaft.

I help over 3000 men per year to embark upon a non-surgical foreskin restoration. Most of my clients were - like me - cut in infancy. But I hear from 2 or 3 men every week who are distraught at the losses suffered in post-childhood circumcision.

While I can barely begin to understand how much frustration you must have, as I have often thought about how lucky I am to have been kept intact: Can you tell under what circumstances you gave consent? How old where you? Why didn't you read on the internet?

I am having several discussions to prevent people doing this without a factual base or doing it towards infants, which is crazy. Amputating a body part is absolutely the last resort, and I feel sorry for you being tricked by an ignorant doctor.

I have heard of several personal experience who explain this as night and day when it comes to sensation. And their are studies where collect 1000 people and find correlation between foreskin amputation and sensitivity loss. However - You shouldn't rely on what people think, because sometimes the change is to gradual for them to recognize or they didn't really have a good understanding of what they had, it is better to rely on empirical evidence.

BJU International had a study ( Fine-touch pressure thresholds in the adult penis - Sorrells - 2007 - BJU International - Wiley Online Library , lead by dr. Morris L. Sorrells: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDh63jVkNVg? ) Out of all the studies I have read on sensitivity this the only one with good evidence, the others, especially the pro foreskin amputation studies rely on casual questioning, no testing, this one rely on a monofilament touch-test.

And when you do think rational about this it does make a lot sense as well:

Sensitivity comes from nerve endings and nerve cells - the most concentrated place for these are the foreskin. When a part or complete foreskin amputation is done, you lose those nerve endings amputated forever, and thus your sensitivity declines. But, on top of what you get amputated there are additional effects:

Your foreskin moisturize the glands, this ability is lost. It protects the glands against friction, this is lost as well. So now your glands get drier, and because of friction your glands will develop a thicker and tougher skin, your remaining glands nerve endings is getting covered up. There is no way around it; You do lose sensitivity, and it seem to be very significant, it's also important to note it gets worse and worse as you age.

Happy to answer questions if the notification system on the site works and I get a warning!

Funnily enough I read something about this the other day

Jonathan Cope on the pains of a frenulum breve | Life and style | The Guardian

Long story short what you could aim for (if it becomes a problem) is something called a frenuloplasty. See a urologist though, you may have non-surgical options and everyone is different.

Circumcision is definitely pointless, done properly you'd still have a frenulum, far as I understand it.

I understand when there is a problem, especially one that causes pain, we want to fix it right away. If you get the circumcision it will be a life changing decision. I think you should try stretching the skin for longer than a month. You absolutely can stretch the frenulum. Speak with Ron on PM about his TLC or other options that work best, before changing something for the rest of your life. Plus uncut penis' are just as beautiful as cut penis' are. Big veins are awesome. Good luck.
