    Pretty weird problem, huh?

Unfortunately, it seems my mom dropped me from her insurance without my knowledge, so I'm going to have to work on finding a urologist from my own pocket. I'll see about asking my university clinic this week for medical advice and if I must, get a referral to a specialist.

I just hope ultrasounds aren't too expensive.

      Hi all,

Went to a general clinic today and got checked out for my injury. It's been two weeks of rest now, but it seems that while my erections were improving, the recovery has sort of stalled.

I've been experiencing weak urine flow, even after finishing. I have to wait a good two or three minutes to make sure everything is out. I get twinges or fluttery feelings when I stand up or sit back down. Erections are kind of a hit-or-miss, sometimes they're really good, sometimes they're painful in the shaft right below the head. When I stand up, I get a rigid flaccid penis that seems to be cold, but it usually goes away if I sit down or warm it slightly.

But anyway, back to the clinic. Doc does a quick physical exam, checks my urine, concludes no serious problems. Doesn't seem like the testicles are an issue anymore and the urine came out clear. His opinion was that I may have suffered a urethral injury from masturbating right after jelqing, and that would explain the weak urine flow and mild incontinence. Two weeks and he said I'd be fine.

He was baffled by the hard flaccid and the torsion, and said it could just be another tissue injury that needs healing. If it wasn't causing any pain, it shouldn't be that big of a problem. I got prescribed pain medicine and went back to the dorms.

I've scheduled a visit with a urologist for next Tuesday. I'm still going to abstain from any PE or masturbation despite the "it's fine" from the clinic. Not sure I agree with him there...

I gotta say though, it sucks not having insurance. I think this little injury is going to cost me about 1-2 grand in total.

Ok it becomes clearer . The raised skin is probably development and nothing to worry about.

The rest could be pelvic floor related and you need to see a physio who does work with pelvic floor.

Huh. I looked through various threads on the forum that seem to attribute hard flaccid as a symptom of pelvic floor injury. But man, those threads are full of angry dudes and heated debates! There's also talk that this symptom is related to stress and anxiety.

I'll still see the urologist, but I'm guessing you suggest I see a physical therapist of that specialty after that? I wouldn't mind, I guess. How can I convince a physician to give me a referral there?

Oh and thanks very much for the tip, Pegasus. I appreciate the correspondence I get here.

You have a number of symptoms that suggest pelvic floor not only hf , HF is pelvic floor and anxiety related and often produced some nasty head issue ( which you don't seem to have ) that I don't like dealing with.

Update here. My god was this a day in hell.

At 12:03 AM, I had just finished with studying for a biology quiz when I felt the urge to urinate. I head to the bathroom, wait a minute for the weak urine flow to start going, and finish my business. I hold there for a bit, trying the get the few drops out that are struggling to fall out, when I feel a burning sensation in my urethra. It was pretty damn irritating to the glans. I try to pee it out, but nothing is flowing. I sit in a warm bath I setup, still nothing. Fifteen minutes passes and I'm losing it. The pain is so severe that my balls are stinging. I rush to the car and head to the ER.

It was a twenty minute drive but it sure felt like an hour. I was dying of pain the whole way there. I rush in, and the ER is pretty quick to admit me. I came to the hospital maybe six years ago for an arm fracture, so they have my information on file. I explain my situation to the nurse and he tells me to go urinate in a cup. I explain to him there's no way I can urinate at this point. He insists, so I rush to the bathroom with the cup.

It took ten more minutes of agonizing pain for me to finally start a stream. The second I finished however, the pain lessened by at least a factor of 10. I could still feel a slight stinging, but at least I wasn't wrenching in my agony. I hand the nurse my cup and tell him the pain lessened severely. He shows me to the patient room.

I'm sitting in the room while wincing, calling my dad and emailing my professors. My parents live about thirty minutes from the hospital, and my dad actually drives up to see if I'm okay. The doctor tells me pretty much the exact same thing as the clinic. I may have injured the urethra, or the rigidity in the penis has been caused by swelling of the spongy tissue putting pressure on the urethra. At this point, I relate to him everything regarding my injury three weeks ago. He tells me to check with a urologist. I get no pain medicine, so I'm sent back home with a still painful member and a $5900 bill. Go through the school day in pain.

Now, the exact same thing is happening again. Where I live, it's 10:42 at night. I'm clutching my unit in agony as I sit here counting off the hours until morning. I have an appointment with a urologist at 2:30 PM. I hope he can help me out. I'll try drinking some more water to see if I can flush my unit out.

Could you outline your current symptoms?

You say you have pain in the penis. Where is the pain (shaft, head or base), and how deep does the pain feel? Is it sharp or dull? Or is it just generalized?

You have a raised skin ridge on the left side towards the base? Is it like a wrinkle? Or is it thickening of the skin in a band?

How does your pelvic floor feel? What about your balls.

I take it they would recognise kidney stones . Medical care in the US is very expensive.

Well, yes, but medical care is really only for the rich. After all, they've earned it. Giving all the rest of us ignorant, lazy slobs work.

Besides, good health is wasted on the poor.
                        How did I get here?

And I've been here ever since.

                          Hi all,

Thanks for the concern. The pain is localized and is right at the tip of the penis where we urinate out of. The doc thinks it's local irritation from urine that remains in my penis because the urethra can't push it out.

My pelvic floor is extremely weak. I feel myself doing the kegel, but it has practically no effect on urine flow.

I woke up this morning without pain, but because I went to sleep with urine still in my bladder, there was a pressure there. When I went to urinate, the urine flow was a pathetic dribble. I was concentrating on pushing out what small flow I could.

                          Current symptoms reiterated:

-infrequent but extremely intense pain after urinating, I've gone to the restroom quite a number of times but I only felt pain towards the end of the day.

-really weak urine flow, so weak that sometimes urine gets stuck inside and I can still feel it in there. I don't know if I should manually try to milk it out, but I haven't done so yet. I'll ask the urologist.

-slight torsion of the penis head and turtling. Rigid flaccid when standing. Can't urinate if I'm not sitting down.

-the slightly raised skin looks like a band right under the surface. If you've ever seen a arterial graft, it looks similar. I feel like this was just the result of stretching, but I could be wrong.

-reverse kegels seem to make my glans extremely cold, and I lose feeling in the penis.

-weak morning erection and almost immediate loss of erection standing up.

As I mentioned, my appointment is in five hours now. Since I'm not in pain, I'm going to take advantage of this and go to sleep.

Update. Urologist repeated what I was told at the emergency room. He was a lot more hands on with the physical, but he came to the same conclusion. Holy crap, am I in pain from the way he manipulated the thing. I even told him how much the tip hurt from his tugging. It's like a PE workout by itself.

But anyway, it's very promising that I have no pain at all anywhere in the shaft or at the base, and that I've had no discharge from the penis whatsoever. I'm just dealing with a painful urethra and weak floor muscles. 5 weeks rest, don't mess with it at all or stress about it. I'm a naturally chill kind of person with a decent amount of pain tolerance, so I'm totally okay with this advice. I'm looking forward to the day I look back at this and laugh at myself for being a dumbass with my member. Pain while urinating at night and the lingering irritation is something I'll just have to take as punishment for overdoing it.

I've really appreciated the comments I've gotten from the community but I think I'm done with any PE. I'll give a final update a few weeks from now just for the sake of the new guys who want to know about these kinds of things.

                            Good luck, guys.

Haha. Take that as a lesson learned, SuperDude. But in all seriousness, the fact that we are powerless to do anything about this overpriced healthcare is abhorrent. Fortunately, I just signed on to my university insurance and am now insured. That'll save me some heartache for the next three years.

I'm afraid I had a pretty crappy week, though. Two days ago, my mom was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer. That same day, I finally had my first bowel movement after two days of constipation. I had a searing pain in my rectum when I finished. I literally huddled on the floor for three minutes just to relax. No blood on tissue paper, so I'm glad it wasn't a microtear. Since that happened, I've been really careful to eat stool softening foods and very healthy. Still feel a slight irritation from that one incident, but it's getting better.

Since I visited the ER, I've apparently lost 8 pounds. Strength of urine flow has improved, but the urinary incontinence and hard flaccid is still there. There's nothing to prevent another 'burning urethra incident' so I just stopped drinking fluids after 7:00 PM.

Hopefully I'll see more improvements over the next 5 weeks. In the meantime however, what are some safe cardio exercises I can do that won't bother the pelvic floor? I haven't gone to the gym to do any more heavy lifting and I ditched my morning sprints. Is swimming okay if I do some leisure laps? Any other advice that you guys think will help me is much appreciated.

                                Stay awesome.
