hi hans, been doing various stretches for a few days now, i've tried to do a 5 minute hindi squat but i really start to feel it on my knees, when doing the hindi against the wall, is this the correct position to assume, then push the knees outwards?

My question about length of time: Why is it that the majority of places online recommend holding a stretch for 30 seconds but everyone here talks about holding hindis for 5 minutes plus? I have finally got into a position where I'm able to push out and feel a stretch in my PC muscle? Should I just hold this to the point of tension for as long as I possibly can? Or should I start by holding it for 30 seconds, three times a day?
