  • Pain from using 'makeshift' cock ring, I feel like such an idiot

Ok let me explain this from the beginning. I started visiting this forum because of my premature ejaculation problem, this led me to read about kegels and reverse kegels, specifically reverse kegels to help relax the pelvic floor. I did those alone for 2 months but then came across a problem, I was struggling to maintain an erection while edging. Ok it's at this point I realize that I've overtrained myself, so I decide to take a week off. But since my erections came back strong within 3 days I decided to continue my reverse kegels and edging, bad idea. Again I went limp while edging. I was also struggling to keep the random erections which would pop up during the day. Ok so at this point it becomes more obvious I need to bring kegels into my routine. So I decide again to take a week off and start a kegel + rk routine afterwards.

Now this is where I do something pretty stupid. It's six days into my 7 day break and my pelvic floor is feeling better and not exhausted like it was previously. So being the horny person I am, I find an item which seems like it would make a good cock ring. It's pretty much a thin rope with two stone marble-like balls at either end. I wrapped the rope around the base of my member and curled the stone balls together to make a lock. My penis swells to an unbelievably thick size, veins are protruding like never before and Im just sat there marvelling at my member. But of course the ring is too tight and since it's at the base of my penis it's also squeezing the tube on the underside. Im not sure what it's called, that tube on the underside of the penis urine flows through and leads to the perineum, urethra i think?

Anyway I only did this for less than a minute, and then took it off because of the tightness. But I fear i've injured myself now. I feel some tenderness in that area, like I have bruised myself there. It's been like this for a few days now. The weird thing is, whenever I get an erection the tenderness feeling comes on stronger, like erections worsen it. So during the day when I try not to get erections at all, I feel like the pain subsides a lot, but then when I wake up in the mornings it comes back because of my morning wood.

Im trying to tackle one problem at a time. First this tenderness feeling, then the imbalanced pelvic floor, then the preE problem. It's quite overwhelming. But first off course the bruised tender feeling needs to subside completely. Can anyone give some suggestions on this?

Stop PE altogether for a while and let your body heal. Concentrate on vascular improvements - diet, targeted supplements and a little exercise. Then after a month or two, GRADUALLY get back into PE routine, starting with light routines.

Yes it seems this may be the best option. Do you think the bruised feeling in my perineum area will go away on it's own? Like I said it comes and goes because of my morning wood, how would I deal with that? I feel like once that fixes itself then I will be good. I've had it for about 5 days now.

I've had a very healthy diet for many years so I will continue that, and I was actually planning on starting some exercising tomorrow so I'll definitely go through with that. Getting my mind off the problems seems like a good start, it can become quite depressing seeing what I've done to myself especially since I had really good EQ before I joined this forum.

Eventually it will go away, as with any bruise. It'll just take some time. But any sort of activity, short of sex, may be a detriment. And even then, I'd approach the sex carefully. You won't be abe to control morning wood, but take it easy otherwise.

I've already decided that I won't masturbate at all during this break, I'll do everything I can to make sure I don't worsen the problem. No gf currently either so sex won't be an issue.

          Thanks for the advice GTO.

I'd like to post an update on my situation seeing as it's been nearly two months since my original post and a lot has happened since then.

Since making this post, I went a full 42 days without masturbating at all. My aim obviously was so the pain would go away, but damn was it tough. But of course my urge to heal myself was greater than the urge for temporary gratification which is why I went so long without masturbation. During those 42 days there were good and bad days. On some days the pain was very very minimal, and on other days it was a little more prevalent. It felt like I wasn't really making any progress and I was starting to get quite nervous that this may be more serious than I thought at first. But on the 42nd day I finally broke and decided to rub one out (and I came buckets btw). This is where things take a turn for the better.

Immediately after release, any discomfort or pain that I had been harboring in the perineum area completely disappeared. It felt great. Throughout the rest of the day i didn't feel anything and all seemed well. I was getting erections and the pain wouldn't recur. But the following day the area felt a little weird again, it felt slightly weak and I seemed to have an issue getting it up. I attributed this to my total lack of kegels early on in my PE. I figured that when I begin doing my kegels again this issue would fix itself.

So later on I decided to start doing some light kegels at night before bed on days where the discomfort was minimal, and I think I've found the key to fixing this problem once and for all. The day after my first kegel routine and the weak feeling is almost gone and erections are nice and strong. I've continued this for the past few days and things are looking up now (pun intended). I'm just praying that the worst is behind me and I face no more setbacks.

Sorry for the long post and probably unnecessary details, I just had to get this off of my chest.

I guess people should take away from my story is to never overtrain your pelvic floor, if you feel any fatigue coming along take a break. Also do not skimp out on kegels, they're just as important as reverse kegels. Lastly be sensible with your choice of homemade sex toys, if there's pain stop immediately.

Alright guys, I think im just about ready to post a final update on my situation. Again it's been quite an eventful 2 months since my last update.

So on my last update I mentioned how kegels would be the key to my recovery, but little did I know then how careful I would need to be with them. If I simply held too long a kegel, or too tight a kegel I would get that exhausted feeling again throughout the day and need to take the day off again. I had to be VERY patient with my kegel routine, and make sure I do it flawlessly in order to avoid and setbacks.

I started off with some really short kegel bursts, a couple of sets a day, 4 days a week for the first two weeks, everything was going fine. But then one morning I wake up with a raging morning stiffy and kegel really hard (just because it feels good), and bam it feels exhausted again and goes limp. Take a few days off and everything is ok again so I continue the kegel routine.

Shortly after that one day I get the urge to urinate, and then again after 30 minutes, and then again after another 30 minutes... It looks like I've somehow contracted a UTI. Ugh... The worst part about having this infection while my pelvic floor is in this weakened state is that it seems to further compound the weak feeling somehow which is totally detrimental to my recovery. This seriously couldn't have come at a worse time. I take some over the counter pills for 2 full weeks with little improvement so I finally book to see a urologist. He checked my up, ran some urine sample tests but finds nothing to be amiss mind-boggingly. He gives me some other pills and slowly the problem seems to disappear. Finally the infection clears up (hopefully), and I can now get back to my kegel routine.

A week or so later I start my new job which requires me to be sat in front of a computer for long periods of time. Now I would have thought this would be bad or my recovery because of the dull feeling in my perineum being in constant contact with a chair, but it actually seems to have the opposite effect. During the following days I feel like I make the biggest progress yet with my recovery with the weak feelings totally gone now, erections strong as ever and easy to achieve, hard kegels no longer cause any weakness, and erections no longer bring back that dull pain.

I really couldn't be any happier with the situation. A few months back things looked completely bleak, I was depressed because of this and was seriously doubting my future. But now I have my old member back! And what makes me most proud is that I managed to stick through this without breaking and seeing a urologist about this problem (UTI is different reason). I really wouldn't know how to explain all this to a urologist, and therefore he probably wouldn't know how to help me. Had I not realized that kegels were the way to go about curing this then I fear for what would have become of this situation. I realized that it wasn't only the makeshift cock ring that caused this problem, but actually the reverse kegel only routine which is largely at fault. The cock ring just seemed to push it over the edge. Once I realized that, then it became obvious that kegels would bring me back to my old state.

I feel like im actually better off having experienced this because now im more aware of the different feelings I get down there, and what each feeling means. Anyway hopefully I won't need to post any further updates because I feel like im at 100% now, and want it to continue like this an improve further (if possible).

Ultimately I'd like to give a big thanks to this forum. Had I not read up about the workings of a pelvic floor, kegels, and reverse kegels, I would have never known how to fix this problem.

                      Happy PEing guys!
