    Im new to site and have been reading some posts about shrinkage/turtling im not sure if these are the same.

    recently i have experienced changes when my cock is flacid or use to be it could hang to the left but recently it seems that it no longer hangs and looks like its retracted giving the appearance of no shaft. It is noticeable when walking feels uncomfortable - and constantly have to pull on it to get some length on the shaft sitting down for periods it will also shrink retracting. Anyone with any similar experiences and suggestions,

    I am trying to muster up the courage to discuss with doctor.

    You're right, that is called turtling; which is a bad PI. You need to lighten up on your routine.

          after a bit more reading i am wondering whether it would be a positive experience discussing this with my doctor

          if anyone has is experiencing it how long does it last for or what steps can be taken to resolve it quicker

            You should look into the pre e forum and find the stickied posts mentioning yoga poses for pelvic floor.
            Otherwise, maybe apply heat and surely leave it be!

              I had this problem for months (while doing a break from PE) and recently found a solution for myself and really hope its your problem too. My scrotum acted like this as well, everything down there acted like I just fell into some freezing cold water all day every day. My solution was to wear tighter underwear lol. I've wore boxer briefs for the last 10 years or longer and never thought much of it and recently tried wearing colored versions of 'tighty whiteys' and after a few days everything began hanging properly again. I was stunned. If you wear loose fitting underwear please consider this as a possible solution.

                  thanks for the ideas - will check out that forum - as for applying heat - i can only imagine that you mean water hot baths unless there is some other way to apply heat there.

                    Im keen to try anything i guess the tighter underwear will keep things in place - the only thing is that when it used to hang to the left it now bunches up in the and just feels odd and probably looks odd too ( could just see the helmet protruding in the centre of pants of shorts) it would raise up because my ball bag just seemed to bee fuller but it gives rise to the need to constantly adjust it till i get a semi hard on just to position it like it used to be.


                    Did you find this too and was it easy to keep it in place. when things got back to normal and it started to hang properly how big was your cock when flaccid and what kind of size did it shrink down to.


                    I still cant find the reason for the suddenness as nothing unsual to comes to mind - just discovering this site dont really have a routine other than masturbating several times a week and have yet to start any of the exercises like jelging or PE.


                    I was suspecting that age, and the extra pounds was contributing to this - but it seems to have occurred over a short period.

                      I normally have a slight left hang as well and during the times this was an issue it was such a stub it was painful, just like you said you have. I normally hang around 3" but probably 1" or even less at times this was a major issue. More so than that was my balls were NEVER hanging. Always had that cold shriveled up type thing going on. If you don't also have the ball shrinkage problem it may not be the same issue I had. However I will say wearing the 'tighty whitey' style underwear really isnt too uncomfortable to get used to again, sometimes i have to adjust myself because i feel its forcing a slight turtle effect but nothing serious. Take the advice of the other guys first but just keep the underwear thing in mind if nothing else improves your problem.

                      Edit: Another thing I've been doing lately that I feel is helping even more is reverse kegels. Go look that exercise up if you haven't already. I saw improvements with the underwear but it seems just over this last week of adding a lot of reverse kegels to my routines my flaccid hang seems fuller than normal. One of my new favorite techniques to be honest. Finally, I have been doing more cardio the last few months as well but I still want to credit the return of my hang to the underwear change since it happened literally 2 days after wearing them.

                        I'm talking about rice sock and heating pad.
                        It could very well be related to your pelvic floor, hence the advice on yoga stretches.
                        Maybe you've had recent stress ? You never felt pain in the pelvic floor or the shaft?
                        When did you start turtling?

                          I've noticed similar myself, but luckily I don't shrink that much -- on a good day I'm around 4.25-4.5 and on a bad I'm around 3.5-3.75.

                          Not sure what brings it on in my case, although I think it is linked mainly to stress and if I got a good nights sleep the night before. I also noticed a lot of times PE can bring it on too, although I'm not sure that is a bad thing so long as it doesn't last more than a day -- I thought I read before that turtling is part of the 'self-repair' process sometimes, so long as it is short lived.
