I wouldn't usually jump to conclusions about the identity of the perpetrators, but the timing is just too convenient. Bastille day and the French had just started to relax after a relatively uneventful Euros. This would mark quite a departure in tactics though, usually they go for bombast to make the biggest impact they can, but this time it seems they've gone for effectiveness. And this shit will keep happening unless there is a major shift in politics or culture.

I've been reading reports of 73 dead. Christ. Hollande better do something and do it quick, because something's going to give at the current rate of attacks.

Update: Also reports of black smoke engulfing the base of the Eiffel tower. Cunts have really gone for it.

Yeah, France are just being seriously brutalised over the past few years and it doesn't look like these terrorists are going to stop anytime soon. I wonder will France make a call to leave the EU as well?

What can be done in France to stop these attacks from occurring? They were policed extremely well throughout the Euros because they were expecting attacks then but they went off without any. And then this. I saw a video of the victims that I really wish I could un-see.

Apparently the two cells that were taken out in France and Belgium before the Euros were planning attacks on the footie.

I suppose Bastille Day in Nice is a much easier and softer target than getting bombs into stadiums.

Yeah I read that all right. They made a number of arrests of terrorists and suspected terrorists throughout the Euros.

Isis had warned that they were going to hit Italian, French and Spanish beach resorts in the future; so guessing this is the start of it. I can't help but feel that this is just going to get exponentially worse in the next year or two as nothing seems like there is nothing being done about it except telling citizens to carry on as usual

I just caught a glance at the news of this as I was passing by the TV. I should of taken a closer look. I didn't realize it was this bad. My heart goes out to the loss of life with our French friends. Damn, it is really getting crazy in this world.

There has been a lot of controversy over the UK leaving the UE. In my mind, as an outsider on the other side of the pond, I think it was a good move. Take control of your boarders, protect your own people and take whatever means are necessary to ensure that your country and people are safe.

I don't see what they can do about it and that's why the scare tactics of ISIS work well, you can't monitor every single individual 24/24 7/7 for decades, unless you live in Russia or Orwell's 1984. In terms of symbol I don't see leaving the EU as something positive, regarding the possible positive outcome in terms of security I have no idea. One of the problems is being rotten from the inside, when citizens of countries turn against their "own" nation in such a dramatic fashion the issue is deeply rooted somewhere and is a major one too.

Yeah yeah, we always hear to same story though and it keeps happening. Isis have seriously warped the minds of a great number of individuals around the world and it isn't set to stop or even slow down anytime soon.

The political leaders do the same talk, you can actually predict exactly what is going to be said: "tragic death, things like this shouldn't happen, we need to find these terrorists. Our thoughts are with the families of this attrocity. We can't let them terrorise us or scare us or they win. We can't let right-wing extremism to grow as a result (sorry Popol, that is straight from a politician's mouth)." and so on. I don't think any of these words would comfort me if I have just seen the dead body of my mangled girlfriend/friend/family member on the streets of Nice.

Yes it's bullshit, coutries send their thoughts to the sufferers and we can't help but feel incredibly light hearted after hearing so "moving" speeches. No matter what the topic is people are getting more and more bored and immune to political speeches.

It's definitely not going to stop, now if these guys kill 100 people everytime one of them decides to jump to heaven the number of corpses will be high.
