Wow my friends 15 years has gone by pretty fast. George it was 15 years ago tonight that we last hung out together. Hey who knew you wouldn't come home the next day. Same with Paulie and Tim; oh what we didn't know.

I think the firemen that rushed up those stairs knew they would not be coming back but yet they still kept climbing didn't they?

The world has changed much since you were last here. Now we have college professors taking down posters remembering that day. I hear we have a football team that wants to make some stupid ass statement that I'm sure won't be all that patriotic. It seems that people are beginning to forget what really happened.

I guess I knew it would happen, the forgetting part. Sadly it's just the family and those close that remember that day. I can still see that beautiful blue sky on a most perfect day that turned out to be not so perfect.

Sadly it may not be too much longer before your sacrifice will simply be relegated to the history books, like many who have sacrificed before you. The football season starts tomorrow and there will be a few high priced player that won't stand up for the national anthem. They say it's their right because police are not nice.

Gee you guys were cops. You ran to help not caring about color did you? Now they want to roast you. Sad.

Well guys I'll do my part. I will until it's my time to join you. George I always told you that you were the ugliest guy I ever met. I wonder how much uglier you would have been in 15 years. Speaking of ugly Paulie I saw your daughter the other day.My God is she beautiful.

May they all rest in peace, the people in the building and the heroes that gave their lives trying to save them. And may the wounds inflicted to the relatives and friends heal, but let us never forget what happened.

In an instant everything changed.

The youth won't fully understand the horrors of that day, I remember seeing a clip on tv and first thinking it was a trailer for a movie. It couldn't be real life.

So many brave people give up their lives to help others in need.

I didn't know anyone personally but I won't forget x

Our community is sponsoring a 9/11 remembrance and concert tomorrow with net proceeds going towards the sponsorship of a service dog through Canines for Warriors, for vets suffering with PTSD. The cost of the dog, including training for the dog and vet, is $15,000. Over the past two years we have raised enough money to sponsor two dogs. 22 vets commit suicide every day due to PTSD.

Still remember this day like it was yesterday, can't believe its been 15 years. My gran was still alive and I was living with her, working nights at the time, when she woke me up to tell me there had been a plane crash. I didn't really think anything of what she said until I saw the news.

I hear people are still dying because of things like asbestos they breathed in from all the dust in the air and from the rubble.

May all the people killed that day (and since) rest in peace.

I believe it should be manditory for the students today.

My God Father was on the USS Vestal on December 7th 1941. The USS Vestal was tied to the USS Arizona during the attack.

As to 911 I will always remember where I was that faithfull day. Also I have been in the World Trade buildings many times and ate at Windows of the World.

RIP to the 343 Fire Fighters that responded to the attack without fear for their own lives.

I read yesterday a person that fell out of the WTC killed a Fire Fighter when they landed on him. The Priest was killed by debris while administering last rights to the Fire Figher.

Around this time, too. I was in the 5th grade, getting ready for school. My mom turned on the tv and we saw the first tower in flames, and I watched the second plane hit. I remember going to school and my teacher who was a Chinese immigrant cried her eyes out in front of the class because she loved this country in a way that's foreign to most of us. What we take for granted on a daily basis, her family chose willingly. I didn't recognize the significance of what happened that day until many years later.

There are some things that are forever burned into your memory. That day, 9/11/01 is one of those. While I heard of the collapse of the towers live as I made my way home (work ordered all field reps back to home base), when I did return home, I was mortified. I did not see buildings falling down, I saw lives being lost, innocent people being killed and it turned my stomach. I will not understand this level of hatred, this level of violence and why the world can not live in peace.

I will never forget, we lost 8 employees that day and we watched it happen. We kept trying to call to make sure they made it out of the bldg. I remember a client who was an engineer said, "They should take everyone out and not let them back, the beams of that building are not designed to withstand that kind of heat." Famous last words. He stayed there at our place of business watching and saw the collapse happen, he had the most defeated face and said "I wish I had been wrong."

My prayers to all the people affected by this tragedy.

I don't remember anything else about that day...

I was 13, in highschool, about to head outside to skip a class, when a teacher I knew was standing outside of a classroom, crying.
I walked up to her, and noticed that there were several teachers there (including the teacher for the class I was skipping), all gathered in front of a TV, watching the news.
I asked what was happening, and someone said that "New York was on fire."

Everyone got sent home early that day. I remember everyone's horror stricken faces, because we weren't all that far away from it. We were in Canada, but it still felt close to home for us. No Canadian I know stands up for the American anthem, but in all of our hearts were the same concerns, grief, fears and hopes that would have been there if that attack had happened closer to home.

Maybe those football players are in a similar boat. Who knows
