Are Internet Dating Sites Worth It?

Sometimes I be seeing that people can get a date with those things and get laid from them. I personally think that those sites are completely a load of lies though I'm kinda tempted to join one of them so I can see how it goes.

What are your opinions about these sites?

I had a good experience with rsvp ,which is a dating site. Have no knowledge of the adult matchmaker type thing.

Man I'd use internet dating as a last resort. Just go to a club, take two shots and start dancing man. Or you can have a friend hook you up with a hottie by having them invite them over. Go to a party. Go to the gym. Dude theres soo many ways to meet chicks. Just get out the house.

LOL dude I acctually just joined one of these site for shits and giggles but i do get quite a bit of messages, but for some reason there all very fat girls, i have no problem with a heavier girl i acctually enjoy them and im a pretty big boy myself, but the girls that message me are VERY large girls.I unno man try one out and see what happens, theres nothing to loose right

I meet girls in real life but almost every time I try to get away from the "just friends" phase, I'm still stuck with it. Hopefully I can get a date someday and with my PE training, I have a high chance that will change.

Though I was VERY close of getting a gf but it didn't work out.

Well can't help with relationship advice.
One good thing about rsvp, is that you can get a date before you get in the friend zone.
The girls I met on rsvp were nice and looked fine, they had photos up.

We should get MrBigDick to comment here, he did some internet dating recently and I think he met some nice ladies. But I suspect that these things vary a lot, and may depend on the site and what age you are.

I had a friend that claims he had alot of luck with the "adult friend finder" one, but I have had other friend that did just as well with myspace. Who knows, I met some on myspace too, and that is FREE.

But, I have heard from other guys that the adult sites didn't work. Maybe that's why, just plumpers, but hey, I like "goin' hogging" sometimes too, so what the hay!?!?

I think if in 20s using sites is a blunder and you'd be better off doing social events, clubs, etc. But 30s+ a lot of good couples now days have been made because of online dating. Actually I think I know someone who was 28, who met someone online and it is working out pretty well she is dating a guy for 2+ years now and they are thinking about bigger plans, so I think finding dates online is viable. Not sure which sites are best, I know international community before used to hook up on ICQ before travel so they'd have "somewhere to go" before traveling somewhere, kind of nice. Don't know the online scene now a days.

I did the Match.com thing in the past and I ended up meeting a cool chick who I dated for about 2yrs. She was a God-send @ a time in my life where I was just having the most awful luck in terms of meeting women "in the real world". She was fun, her family & friends were really cool and we had tons of great sex while things were going well. In the end, it was no different than a relationship with someone you meet "in the real world."

Dating sites.. I never really used them but I did use the dating applications on facebook, and oooooweeee! Let me tail you some of the tail I pulled from there. It all depends on the person man, I prefer meeting girls in real life because I'm a lot funnier and more outgoing in person, as well as my personality doesn't transfer too too good over the internet, but the online thing has worked out for me as well.

I did match.com, eHarmony and I even dabbled a little with adultfriendfinder and even did my own personal's ad on craigslist. I wouldn't recommend craigslist at all.............the chicks that I got hit up by were seriously out there.

Match.com imo is nothing more than an online bar. It's like getting pages and pages of women to search through based on some search criteria you provide their database. I didn't like match simply because I met some real losers on that site. I had much better luck with eHarmony as they are more geared towards someone like myself who's wanting an actual relationship versus a one night stand. Plus, on eHarmony, you're less likely to get lied to about someone's background versus match.com. Again, this is based on my own experiences with both websites AND my own gut feel.

I've always tended to meet women AFTER I had joined one of these services. It never failed. I had just decided to stop online dating at the end of '08 and that's when I met Renee, my now ex gf. I met her through a whacked out friend of hers (didn't know she was a whack job at the time.............I sure as hell do now!!). And most recently, I started online dating and then Cindy and I start going out and next thing I know, I've got myself another gf and one that I didn't meet on a dating website. Funny how life works.

Someone above had something about using the internet as a "last resort". I don't necessarily subscribe to that philosophy. True, there are just as many women out in the "real world" as there are online but if you're looking for something particular, online dating helps weed out the women that you'd otherwise have to sift through if you chose to date through chance meetings and encounters. Whether you meet women out in the world or you meet them online, it makes no difference.
