The crossfitters seem to be a pious lot and carry on a lot in a rather pretentious fashion.

Thing is I find it hard to believe that their sport hasn't got higher levels of drug use than most .

One would expect that pro sport would have drug use so why would I expect higher drug us in crossfit ? Well you need high levels of strength so would see roids hgh and the stuff bb and strength athletes use . You also need endurance so the stuff the endurance athletes use would also be in the mix .

The volume of training would mean drugs would be used to promote recovery and of course maintaining muscle mass in the face of endurance training is a good trick even with drugs .

I don't know if they as a group use many drugs? Good question. They seem to be a fanatical group it would follow that steroids etc. would be in the mix.

Also everyone I know who has done crossfit has injured themselves. They have horrible form.
    7 1/4 inches x 5 1/4 inches Spring 2014
    8 X 5 1/2 late summer 2014
    8 X 5 3/4 Feb. 2015 That took a while.
    8 X 6 goal
    8 X 5 7/8 May 2015, wife said stop for now.

Very small sample pool of experience for me. The ones I know we'll all go natural as a point of honor. That being said none are competing professionally.

I have seen the people who do Crossfit and they look good. Then I've read about Crossfit and how the body just cannot handle the extreme intensity, without some kind of injury. Just ain't my bag baby.

The professional athletes at the crossfit games get tested constantly even if the off season. Crossfit promotes everything natural. Steroids, hgh, peptides etc. are not natural. They train, eat and urilise recovery methods in certain ways that allow them to constantly train day in day out.

I am sure they are in the hurt locker 24/7 and not feeling amazing because of recovery. They are still on struggle street while recovering.

Yeah that is what body builders always said . I remember Lee Priest pious sermon on his religious and moral beliefs ,how they were tested yada yada .
Lance Armstrong must have been the most tested guy on earth and didn't fail a drug test .

Just on that" special " way they train . I know from experience how hard it is to keep muscle on when doing endurance training no matter how you eat . What "special" are they doing to get around this that I never heard of , cause for sure only thing I can see doing it is drugs.

I get its hard to understand. The guys in that high level at the games are genetic freaks, their bodies become conditioned and their threshold increases in what stresses their muscle, joints, nervous and endocrine systems can take.

Endurance is only one aspect of their training. They may not do endurance training everyday. Look at special forces. Lots of endurance however they need to be physically strong to.

Drug testing is becoming more advanced and if they were on roids or whatever drug they can be tested for it, piss test, hair follicle, blood tests etc.

Do you expect 0 injuries and for form to be 100% when you push fitness to its limits?

I suspect they're too embarassed to admit that they do crossfit to any dealer.

LOL. Crosfitters don't push their fitness to its limits. Crosfitters push Instagram picture filters and Facebook likes to their limits.

Look I remember all the denials from the bodybuilders , I remember them saying they were tested , I remember their talk of genetic freak and moral and religious beliefs and so on . So none of that holds one jot of cred .
Pro sport is rife with drug use and just on logic crossfit is a prime candidate . Then I know how difficult it is to combine strength and endurance from personal experience .The difficulty of recovery. I have been around sports and gyms for decades, all the pious bs is just that . For that matter just looking at them would give great reason to question their drug status . Then online I see guys saying they teach crossfiters how to train with drugs and nix the tests .
Everyone wanted to believe the Lance Armstrong story you want to believe the csrossfit story all uplifting and virtue.
The real world can be a sad place but it must be faced.
