I got fired!

Well as if I don't have enough BS I'm dealing with, I lost my job a few days ago.
It's not a huge deal as I was working very little hours due to my mental illness issues, but I did enjoy having a little bit of money coming my way.

The old assistant manager came back to the store to be the new manager and because of that they cut me so she'd get the 50 hours a week she requires.

Nobody likes that assistant manager haha.

I didn't want to work there anymore but it was the first job I've had that I really enjoyed the other workers.

Thanks everybody, I should try and look for a job but I'm unsure what I want to do.

I hate customer service, and I don't want to work in the food industry.

I'd like to find some sort of typing job because I can type 134 words a minute, but I'm unsure how I'd go about that/where to look.

To be honest with you, I would use this opportunity to look into entrepreneurship. It is truly much more satisfying than having a boss telling you what to do, including things you don't even want to do! The freedom you can find in it is amazing.

Just take step one and start calling, networking, and making shit happen.

Don't think too much about it and just take some action and figure it out along the way.

That's how things get done. That's how I started a successful business. I had no training or any clue of how to do anything. You can always figure out the next immediate step tho, and that's what worked for me.

I'm a strong believer that things happen for a reason. This being let go is a blessing in disguise. You don't see it now, but better times are ahead. Search your soul, and decide what it is that you truly want to do. And then be patient and wait. Take what meager job is offered in the mean time, but always keep your eye on that prized job down the road.

In the mean time, sorry your feel like crap and your source of income has been shut down.

WOW. Congrats on being a performer. My 5 and 8 year old are learning to play piano an it is an amazing thing to watch how they develop.

Being a musician is truly a wonderful gift. It touches people so universally in a way many other art forms do not.
Recently I watched a documentary called gringo favelado about transplanted gringos in the Brazilian favelas. One of the gringos is a british musician, tom ashe, that started a small music school in the favelas to bring his art form to the kids that might not have otherwise gravitated towards it.

If you are interested in this project, go on google and search "The Favela Brass Project: New Olympic Promotional Video". I thought this might appeal to you as a musician and maybe provide a little inspiration for your unique gifts.

While I see PEGym as a place for us to grow our phalluses, I also see it as a place for us to grow in other aspects of our lives.
