A Statement from Matt and Trey

In the 14 years we've been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn't stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn't some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle's customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn't mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We'll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we'll see what happens to it.



I believe the show is still not being allowed to be aired. They usually put the uncensored versions up on that website. (Matt Stone and Trey Parker own everything South Park... SO they can put up whatever they want... usually.)
The episode got pulled at 12am, so I didn't get to see it and had to watch a .torrent version online.


Anyone else believe this is outrageous, or am I just going a bit nuts over this?

Yeah I saw the episode too and I am PISSED. Fucking Comedy Central, those bastards. I have a feeling that South Park will soon come to an end. I always feared that, but now it might get serious. We're having our freedom of speech taken away.

Signed through 15 seasons. This is just the network being total wimps. DO NOT let terrorist threats change your opinion on something. For fucks sake, they had Jesus looking at internet porn and Buddha doing lines of coke. Nobody cares about this. It's suppose to be funny that other gods/prophets can be made fun of, yet do it to Muhammad or Allah and you could be hurt or killed. Yet they try to convey this at the end of the episode and it gets edited out to 'protect' people.

Oh last weeks episode? Yeah for whatever reason my DVR hasn't been recording ANY south park, so here I am going all WTF. So I have to download/watch them from NinjaVideo.
I'm actually downloading the episode 201 right now so I can watch it and chime in more on the conversation.
But you guys are completely right. They're being scared, I mean come on now what are terrorists in the middle east really gonna do over
here with such hightened security and everything? I mean worse comes to worse they hire an armed security firm for a couple weeks.
Worse comes to worse they get threatened. Big deal. I've been through a terrorist bomb threat in the middle of a trade show with my security company whos employees are mainly old people and Haitians who speak barely a word of English. Didn't find anything, show went on, nothing happened.

No it isn't the one with family guy. It the episode where cartman finds out who his father is, and Islam's mohammed is even drawn in to this episode. Quite funny. But I am SHOCKED about the censorship, at first I thought it was a joke from matt and trey and that they really hadn't recorded anything.
