  • What do you do to keep fit.

So Guy and Gals, so just how do you keep fit? come on, please tell, dragging or wife's or husbands to bed for sex does not count, as that is sexercise and not exercise.

Me I'm doing an extreme thing after seeing some guys and gals working with tires, I got and old trailer tire weighs around 40 pounds I have a set up with two ropes, and drag it round my olive grove the first part is flat the slowly up, then its down and the flat, go to the bottom of my grove, across and back to where I start, I'm doing it twice a day, I do two days then do a days break, for me doing this its making my walking a lot better.

After this week it will be 3 times a day, its great at raising my heart rate.

Soon I will be adding a big tractor tire for flipping, cant wait for that.

I bike to work and back every day. Some days to two locations. So between 20 mins to an hour per day of aerobic exercise.
I also do circuit training 2-3 days a week, working arms and core strength.
AND I do yoga every evening 5 days a week, for flexibility.

I'm not doing a gosh darn thing. I was losing weight for a year but as soon as I stopped working recently I've gained plenty of weight back and honestly until I get a job there's no way to lose weight and no reason. I could get skinny, but that would be like putting glitter on a skeleton, sure it looks nice, but what for?

The only thing I can see what is wrong there is, employers don't like to prospective employees looking overweight, and always best to keep fit even if its just for life, your life that is.

When I was between jobs always got out walking as a good way to keep fit.

Nowhard, good stuff man. I've been doing functional fitness/CrossFit for like 7 years now. I run every other day, anywhere between two and 5 miles. Be careful looking fit and having visible muscles causes women to talk, flirt and grope you, be for warned.

AKGA I felt I needed to do something as my walking was going the other way, now by doing what I'm on now its getting better, I don't see Greek women groping men somehow, but if the wife's not looking I would be pleased and take it as a compliment.

No job. It's the perfect time to do some exercise. Do some poet walking. Jumping jacks push ups. Planks. Get your heart pumping. Start off slow. Know your limits. You can do something.

Not coming down on you. Just encouraging you.

Nowhard, you never know man. Get yourself a sledgehammer and hit that tire a couple times you'll feel good. Functional fitness is pretty easy and really good for you. I started those types of work outs a long time ago, I still do Olympic lifts, but I don't go heavy, you trim up fast, and you feel great. I loosely subscribe to the Paleo diet, but diets are stupid to an extent, obviously fried food and cheese burgers are not good for you, but fresh veggies and meat can't go wrong, some Olive oil S&P good to go.

I eat a lot of fat.

I swap large portions of starchy carbs and meat with a little fat from gristle, skin, lard, cheese, butter, full fat dairy, oil, mayo, nuts, etc; and eat large portions of vegetables, and some fruits... Some sugars but mostly sugar free options, and drink a lot water. And I stick with 1-2 meals a day, or whenever I'm hungry which is rare with this diet. I just can't keep the weight on anymore and I'm eating whatever I want.
