So, my docs have cut me off of cortisone knee shots. As a result I had to schedule my first knee replacement surgery, Ugh. Scared to death due to my heart issues, but considering what my girlie has endured, here I go. So, the question.

Im 57 and I shave clean downtown. What do I do, let it grow back for surgery in six weeks or go in bald for surgery?

I don't think you need to do anything right now but a couple of weeks before it you should stop shaving or at least check with your Dr. When I scheduled my hernia operation last summer my Dr told me not to shave between then and the surgery. There is risk of infection in a shaved area.

When I had my last op 3 and a bit years ago just went in shaved as normal, but then I only meet my guy on the day I went in, but nothing was said, For just keep it shaved but ask your guy before you go in.

Ya, thinking I’m just gonna keep up with it, but I have a very small flaccid. I don’t need another nurse or two laughing at it. Ugh.

For both deliveries, my midwives have said no waxing, shaving etc

Due to risk of infection before the op/birth.

I may be missing something, but they are operating on your knee, not your unit. What difference is it if you are shaved or a hairy beast? Means nothing to your knee.

Good luck by the way, hope recovery is short and relatively painless.

im clean shaven now, and for about ten years now. The question is whether I should regrow the hair to avoid being embarrassed. I have a small flaccid and with out hair it looks a little boyish. Erect it’s a different story, LOL.

I would be more concerned with the result of the surguy .
My 300 lb former training partner had knee replacement it went well for him.

When I had my cardiac ablation done in November. The pre-op nurse shaved the two entry points of my groin. I think she like it too.

Like ZZ said. You're having knee surgery. I say go in clean shaven. I'm the same way about my burial too. Birthday suit all the way and pull all my teeth out as well.
