  • Buddhism & PE

Been wondering if there are any out there following the philosophical principles of Buddhism. Do you find that PE as a whole is associated with desire and attachment (for sex) and the ego's pursuit of pleasure?

There have been discussions in the past about Christianity and PE for example.

Yes it does. In fact you couldn t describe it more accurate.
    You are spot on bro.

As you mentioned I think it's ok as long as you're not attached. This means it's ok to follow your goals but don't focus too much on the results. Allow life to unfold.

Non-attachment is important, remember - having sex will never satisfy your thirst for sex. As long as you're attached you want always more. When you had a 1000 times sex you want to have a 1001 times.

Nevertheless buddhist avoid gaining too much pleasure from the senses like sex. Because with such pleasure comes always pain.

As long as it's possible to balance attachment and detachment, I feel like most vices can be engaged with in a way that spices up life.
Hi! Good luck on your PE journey :)

Unless you are a monki don't see the problem. Life has goals so long as one recognises them for what they are.

Alright. So then are we not making it harder (no pun intended) by having our "free" playtime escalate to thoughts and projections of sex?

On the other hand, resisting the urge to masturbate or fantasize whilst doing PE can become an excellent way to train self-control.

Thanks for the very informative post. Do you manage to walk that fine line between attachment/detachment when you PE?

While pleasure can bring pain, shouldn't it also be important NOT to avoid sex (from past traumas or insecurities)?

Do you consider PE a vice? 😊

I believe in pursuing small goals, and in PE, it would be to get closer to having an intimate relationship with a open-minded gal. Of course, size improvement is a side-effect I would happily welcome. 😁

As long as you don't cling too much on the outcome instead onto the practice itself.

Recognizing and caring for the body actually is a act of love.

Indeed! Yet the practice of PE'ing feeds into our drive for a bigger cock. As much as we can justify it otherwise, as improved stamina, better EQ, improved confidence, on a subconscious level, there may be a hidden desire to impress the fairer sex in a mating display of virility!

I do wonder though how to strike a balance between keeping that part of the ego in check and simply enjoying the process of building a new penis, one day at a time. I think it's entirely doable... I certainly feel no shame with wanting to invest in my sexuality.

That was eloquently said. When I PE, I feel grounded in the present moment, so it is much more about enjoying the process, the sensations, than it is about badly wanting a big one. Also you provided a great idea: I imagine sending 'love' down there with every stroke. It intrinsically "feels" loved and cared for!!

Not in the act itself, as I've had limited experience. I'm referring to sexual fear or shame, from the circumstances of my upbringing which were very loving, but completely devoid of 'sex talk'. That's why I tend to agree with the Buddhist concept of desire for sex as being a source of pain, but not to the point of using that argument to run away from sex.

I don't do PE for these reasons. I do PE to provide my wife with greater pleasure and fulfillment.

Thank you. I like the way you think. Buddhist repeat and repeat that awareness is the key to reduce suffering. And you are aware of the danger, that with your dong your ego will also grow.

In my personal status of experience - my opinion is that we all have selfish thoughts. They come and go like clouds but don't necessary belong to us. Only when we follow these thoughts they become our own and can cause suffering. Thoughts are like a river, as long as you see them from the outside the river doesn't carry you away. Only when you step into the river.

I understand. Doesn't the buddhist concept teaches us also how to reduce suffering? So if running away causes suffering you shouldn't.

This forum offers everything you need to fullfill your sexual experience. You can increase your stamina, you can learn how to dry orgasm, you can grow your dick and everything around. Everything you need is here.

If you're able to try to your best in your practice and sexual actions it's not neccessary to fear failure. There is nothing more you can do. Live for the moment and life will unfold itself.

Bigger cock = increased risk of inflated ego

However, self-assurance and increased confidence are my main motivators. This might change my relationship with women in that I won't be as eager to please or act too nice around them. The ego should not come into play. Also in sexual situations, a bigger cock could equate with removing stress and performance anxiety, in my specific case, which would facilitate and enable intimacy.

Basically what meditation teaches us to do!

This I plan to change about completely. In fact I will pursue sex, not run away from it. This may sound like reaching for the other extreme, but a vital step nonetheless before I can learn to achieve balance, i.e. the "middle way".

Amen! All of the above in my checklist. I believe it is high time I led a sexual life, that I acknowledge my desires and embrace my masculinity.
