Cleaning plastic cups

Hi everyone

So a few months ago I decided to purchase a blender. Got me a nutrininja blender. Very happy about it but I used the cups to create a protein shake and just let it stand in the sink .. The cups stood there for like 3-4 weeks since I was lazy to do the dishes I don't have a dishwasher and have to do everything by hand.

Now the problem is that the ingredients got sticky against the cups and it smells. I washed them by hand 4 times already + once in a dishwasher at my parents house .. I can still smell it .. Any tips on how to superclean those plastic cups? I just don't want to use them anymore ..

Use the green part of a sponge to clean with dive soap. Then let them sit in soapy water. The fact that you let it sit in your sink for a month is very off putting. That's why it smells the way it does. When you are done using dishes, clean it immediately.

• Fill the kitchen sink halfway with water and add a denture cleaning tablet. ...
• Make a paste of baking soda and water.

Let them soak in hot water and soap.

For future reference do what they folks in juice bars do when blending- immediately soak all utensils, etc. after use to ensure this doesn't happen.

PBW, Powdered Brew Wash. Find a homebrew store or online brew shop, etc. Look for PBW. It cleans things really well and was developed to clean brewery equipment. I use it for cleaning my carboys and fermentation vessels, etc.
