Leather laces on “boat shoes” are a bitch to keep tied. I double knot them and even then they occasional become untied.

LOL, I had this same problem with this one pair of shoes and found out it was the way I tie them. I was tying a “granny knot.” Granny knot is bad. So I did a google search and found out I need to tie a reef knot. This was a LIFE CHANGING moment like PE has been. Lol.
The lace never comes undone now when it would untie after an hour.

Use elastic shoe laces (the type found on the Spanish brand of shoes, 'Camper'). Tie them really well once, then you've just turned your shoes into 'slip-ons'.Comment

The Ian Knot
It's not only more secure, but is so fast to tie that I'm probably saving at least 2 seconds every day. That's what...like an additional half a jelq or so that I can get in?
