  • Sous Vide?

    Who here cooks sous vide?

I'm thinking about purchasing the equipment to start cooking that way and wanted to hear from you guys whatcha think about it and is it really that good.

For those who have no idea what the heck I'm talking about here's a video from one of my favorite Youtube channels that goes over the basics:

I have cooked sous vide, and yes it is good, but I generally prefer to reverse sear instead of sous vide. Reverse searing yields a similar result (with the caveat that reverse searing requires marginally more skill and attention), and I am paranoid about the plastic involved with sous vide on account of the endocrine disruptors and other compounds in plastics.
