Well, here it is, my 2,000th post.
I did not expect to be posting so much... but I guess it's just the way tings worked out!
1st Goal: Knowledge
I joined just a little over a month ago, so I didn't quite make it to 2,000 in one month. Although I wasn't really just going for post count, I was trying to get actively involved here at PEgym. My true goal was to refresh all my PE knowledge (from years ago), and review everything I knew, as well as learn a few more things. I believe I have achieved that goal: mission accomplished!
I think all the material I have written about hanging while here at Pegym has helped me solidify, organize, and improve my hanging knowledge. And although it was annoying at first, I enjoyed having some of my most fundamental assumptions about PE challenged (length first, girth second).
Helping Others A Bit (Hanging)
It started with hanging 101 I suppose! This forum was very friendly, and I was flooded with good feedback from a lot of guys. I hear before I started posting information on hanging here, that when people asked about the subject, they were referred to other forums. My goal was to give anyone that wanted to learn about hanging the ability to learn about it right here at PEgym without having to venture off to other forums. I also tried to make it more organized. What I've learned about hanging was scattered across multiple forums on thousands of threads.
I used to keep a list of all the questions I couldn't answer, that no forum seemed to have the answer to. That became Blink's Hanging Tips in 2009, which I have subsequently posted here (it's "Blink's Hanging Guide" on a few other forums). Hanging 101 was meant as a one-stop article to give guys a quick overview of all the fundamentals of hanging. For those who don't know, I've got about 10x little articles on hanging (on stuff similar to what I've already written). These will be published soon probably on the main site.
I hope I have helped a few others guys with their hanging knowledge.
Pegym: A Great Forum & A Great Group of Guys
Coming to this forum has been helpful for me: I have just barely re-started my whole PE adventure. So far I have regained about .5" of my lost gains from a couple years ago (2008). I think posting here has really motivated me & got me in the right mindset for PE. In fact, I think I am more deeply motivated than I was the first time around. I think there's a great group of people on this forum, and I like the generally optimistic atmosphere too.
Forgive my rambling, but I thought I should say something, instead of just "2,000th post"
