I like pretty much all hard rock and metal, getting into older metal recently though. Not a big fan of screamo though.
Korpiklanni is like pirate/folk metal right?

5 hours of sleep, waking up 3 hours before I normally would, and I've got some Nile ringing through my ears to calm me down. http://youtu.be/G05Vo1mB-I8
And Korpiklanni is awesome. Folk metal is some really odd, yet downright awesome stuff, plus most of their music is about beer. Same with Finntroll.
Screamo =/= metal.
Maybe I've been out of thee loop for a while, but what is sludge metal? Cookie monster vocals with tuning that makes drop A look high pitched type stuff?

No. They do down tune though. Sludge has many types of subgenres, like most metal genres, but they do run the gamut vocally.
But good bands that are considered sludge are Crowbar, Corrosion of Conformity, and Down(which features members of the previous two bands and Pantera).

Sounds like normal metal to me. All of these genres get confusing. I'll just stick with tried and true thrash, death, and black metal.
...though then again, I'm weird when it comes to playing and listening to music. I get odd looks at music stores when buying some Boomer light strings for playing as low as drop A and saying I hate D'Addario strings.
