Another question that pops up regards to speciation, I can understand how bacteria and single celled organisms (organisms that basically duplicate themselves to reproduce) could carry on a mutation and create a new species...
But lets look at dogs, dogs can be bred into any type of dog you want, however they can all still breed with each other = variation WITHIN species, however lets say a dog does mutate and becomes a new species... what will it mate with to carry on its species? as it wont be able to mate with the species it came from...
That has got me stumped.... any explanation?
