  • 5 Truths!

Bored and thought I'd share 5 random truths about myself that you don't know.

    1. Dream job: When my youngest daughter starts school, I wish to open a bakery. I love to bake bread, cookies, cakes, etc. I also decorate all the birthday cakes for the children in my family. UPDATE: Although I still love love love to bake all types of goodies, since typing this out, I think this dream has changed a bit. I think I would still love to have that little shop to share with others my creations, but it wouldn't be a bakery. It would be a mosh posh of things. I'd sell my items I make(soaps, shampoos, herbal medicines...oils, salves, ointments), plus, sell gardening seeds, dried herbs, so basically home remedy, old school/natural type products. Maybe even host small classes on basic herbal remedies, sewing, and life skills that today's average person neglects to learn today.
    2. This one time at band camp: In high school, I was a nerd. A band nerd at that. I played flute and then switched to tuba. Big change but loved it. Was the first female Tuba Section Leader of my school. I also played bass guitar, have an acoustic at home but have yet to learn to play.
    3. My biggest regret: my best friend in high school was gay. She never told me in high school, only came out years later. Wish she trusted me enough to help her through that difficult time in her life.
    4. Family: I live in the exact spot I was raised. Not with parents or anything, just on the land. Nothing is more important to me than my family.
    5. Best friend: Besides my husband, his mom is my girl best friend. I love this woman with all my heart. She is the one who alcoholed me down after that one time I shared in a thread. Won't go into details She had 2 sons, (one passed away at 33 a few years back) and she always wanted a daughter, she has me. There's not much that we don't share. And yes, my husband both enjoys and is slightly scared about the amount of info. his mom knows.

Now, you know a little more about SLU!

So, who's brave enough to go next. Just random things, as general or in detail as you want to go.

Dream job: computer administrator/network. Gettig paid for my passion.

I pissed myself by laughing so hard in 6th grade during recess!

Biggest regret was never going to school right out of high school, although I wouldn't be here if that happened so I don't regret it too much.

I never met my biological father and really don't care too much, but I do have a younger brother I never met.

Best friend is my wife and son.

1.) I was at Second City in Chicago - I left because I was afraid of the drug use and the success that I felt was coming. (I was anti-drugs then)
2.) I lived by myself in a million dollar beach house in Key Largo, FL for a summer. I left the week before Katrina rolled in. Standing on a 200 foot pier, in the middle of the night watching lightning dance across the water as a storm rolls in is my favorite memory from that time.
3.) I don't drink, but I love marijuana. I don't smoke often, but it will be my business when all is said and done. I think it's by far more enjoyable than alcohol and induces less violence and dependency.
4.) Most of my jobs before leaving high school involved working with kids; and I wish I would have pursued that further as it was thoroughly enjoyable and fun.
5.) I have only ever had 1 girlfriend, and she used to keep me a secret because I wasn't "christian" enough and was 8 years younger than her.

Music. Without it I would die
Laughter. I create it and love to hear it and feel it
Dream job. Working or running a non profit that helps children in need to succeed. Whatever their view of success is not anyone else's
Regret. That I refuse to do what I know needs to be done to be patient. I have little patience, I know how to get it but don't.
Love. Being by myself with music in my ears out on the bay two hours before sunset. Watching nature at it's best go thru it's routine until sunset.
Taste and feel of salt water on my skin.

I listen to deathmetal openly (I'm black)

I regret that I cheated on my first real girlfriend by sleeping with another girl. She still hasn't forgiven me. :/

I pissed myself in front of my best friend when I was in 5th grade

I watch spongebob on a regular basis

I've only had one D in my whole life. Other than that it's been straight A's

            1. Dream job: Owning my own Umbrella Corporation... Not the Resident Evil style "Umbrella corp" but housing many companies under one roof.
            2. This one time at band camp: Hmmm if this is the american pie reference about "naughty things" dunno. I was a band goober myself. Played Alto Saxophone then they put me on Baritone... big effing thing, it was as big as i was.
            3. My biggest regret: I live life without regret. Or I at least try to... Sometimes things come back around and give you a second chance to realize why you missed out the first time. But I will say, not kissing this girl i knew that wanted me to kiss her at that exact moment in time. Who knows, I would have led a completely different life from that point. She disappeared outta my life after that. Many years later she popped back up and i got my chance to realize why it didn't happen. so that regret is gone.
            4. Family: I'm not really close to most of my family. I was always (imagine that) the blacksheep.
            5. Best friend: Gotta say, my mom. Gonna be hurt when she's gone, but nobody has ever had my back like she has. Friends come and go. People switch sides faster than they breathe. But top to bottom she's always been honest with me and I've learned to be that way with other people... Doesn't make me popular, but it is respected.

              Awesome thread!

              1) The greatest decision I ever made was dropping out of college after my freshman year and pursuing my life dream. Lucky for me, it worked out.
              2) Since i was a kid i have always loved werewolves and vampires...WAY before they went mainstream like they are now.
              3) if I didn't stutter I would date a lot more.
              4) I'm nervous about raising a child in a gay household, mostly because I got made fun of so much as a kid and I wouldn't want my child to be embarrassed for having two dads.
              5) I dance for one of the best dance companies in the world.
              STATS:
              Start (Aug '10) -- BPEL 6" x 6" -- BPFSL 5.75" x 3.5"

              GOAL:
              BPEL 7.5" x 6.5"

Interests: I am an avid hockey player and finatic.

The music: Rock and roll and country, I know its a strange brew

Life goals: To watch my children grow up and be better men than I and to always be my wifes best freind

The bad: through out my life I have had some issues with drugs and alcohol but I have conquered them both. No turning back

                  1) I'm 20 and I've never ever done anything with a girl such as kissing, having sex, dating etc. (I've been kissed on the cheek and hugged but that doesn't count!)

                  2) I love sport. Football (Soccer), American Football, Basketball, Cricket, Tennis, MMA, Boxing and Aussie Rules Football are all sports I at least follow.

                  3) I have lived in the UK and Australia for approximately 10 years each (give or take)

                  4) I have overcome Autism, Aspergers and Epilepsy as a child and you would never ever everrrr guess I had it now, nothing physically or mentally wrong with me. I may be a little shy but no more than the average person in my opinion.

                  5) As I've grown up I have become indifferent towards religion. I am not an atheist. I still believe there is a god I guess but I wouldn't characterise myself as a 'Catholic' anymore, religions cause wars and awful tragedies in this world. I just don't want to be involved to be honest, it's quite ridiculous that these wars are being fought due to events which may or may not have occurred thousands of years ago. I find very strongly minded religious people (who live by the book) to be very scary with their beliefs and think it's very inhumane when they tell people they are going to hell (for example some of these cults who bash and slander homosexuals).

Once (in band camp): I didn’t leave my house for two years out of fear people.
Family: Both my parents were diagnosed with cancer this year, they’re the only family I have (Both are currently cancer free fingers crossed.)
Friends: In the last 8 years I have had 5 friends try to kill themselves. 3 have succeeded…I am running out of friends
The Bad: I think everyone hates me, because I hate myself
                    Life Goals: To survive

Dream job: Almost retired now from my business that my son is running now but to do it over again would be National Park Ranger. As an Eagle Scout, father, brother and son of Eagle scouts, the outdoors has always beckoned.
I too live in the same small island town where I grew up. Married for 41 years to my high school sweetheart with three married kids and 6 grandkids, 10 years ago I bought and renovated my parents old family home where we reside today.
Embarrassing moment: shitting my pants on the way to scout camp when I was 10 and hiding it for 3 hours until we got there all the while blaming the smell on the cattle outside.
Biggest regret: At this very moment I can't think of any being quite content with my situation. But there was this one girlfriend in college........

I am very happy with my job and I worked very hard to get where I am I started as an insulator at a Commercial roofing company/general contractor and now I am the vice president of the same company. although we have deversified and rarely perform roofing work I still miss being on the roof sometimes but my dream job would be a Herpatologist. I love reptiles and amphibians and I think its great that all my kids do as well. I really hope my oldest son keeps the passion he has for them and persues a career working with them.

I grew up in a very poor family mostly because my parents were in school most of my childhood and I really dont know how they managed looking back. In school I did great as far as grades went but I just never liked it. Once I hit high school all I wanted to do was party, surf and hang out and meet women. My family is from all over (florida, New York, Ohio) so I never felt attached to the town I grew up in and I left when I was 16. I went back for a while when I was 18 and lived with my mom but left again permanently when I was 22. I am definately a redneck and raised in the south but I never really fit in 100% here either not with the locals who had redneck parents and they were rasied there for generations. I feel I fit in well right where Im at in this neigborhood where we have people from all over the world and we all get along like a family. I have three kids the oldest (daughter) will be a teen in less than 2 months! And two boys all three are 2 years apart. I am happily married for almost 17 yrs now.

I have way too many embarrasing moment in my life to even begin to pick one out and I mean alot! Maybe because I have lived my life? anyway they were all worth it.

biggest regret is a hard one way too many again Maybe number one is I wish I me and my wife had opened up the way we did 2 yrs ago 17yrs ago I cant imagine where we would be today, I wish I stayed in better shape phsically, I wish I graduated high school, I wish I drove for my dad the night he died, I wish had been more responsible with money cant even imagine how well Id be doing today.

Truth 1: I love trolling. I don't know why, I just find it hilarious. I play a game called Star Craft on the odd occasion. Most people who play games play them because they enjoy the game and want to compete. Not me. I play the game because I want to piss people off!!!
I'll do exactly what I'm not not supposed to do just to fuck my allied team up. I may build and block them in, I may steal their resources .. just to build buildings that mess them up. I may give faulty advice, or coordinate an attack that I suddenly bail out of. I'm laughing right now just thinking about it. lol and then I act all innocent about it, like I have *no* idea what went wrong or why they're upset. Then the flame wars begin
