Don't you love eating? Think of all the positive memories you associate with the occasion of a meal: family and loved ones, romance, friends, a good laugh
Eating is more than filling your stomach, it's when we come together and share.

My meat-eating friends rely on me to prove that being a vegetarian can have tasty, exciting meals.
One problem: I don't know how to cook up anything decent to share.

Anyone here at PEgym.com a vegetarian? If so, throw me out some recipes and stories. I'm interested to see who's out there.

One thing I enjoy having for breakfast is mashed avocado on toast.

I often have it with just plain avocado, but you can also throw in some lemon juice and spices (like parsley, dill, etc)
This, with a cup of green tea, is a great way to start the day.

I tried being vegetarian & actually felt calm, non aggressive & happy - I didn't feel like myself & went straight back on meat.

There is something seriously wrong for anybody not to want a cheeseburger every once in a while. My daughter is a vegetarian and she dates a vegan. Come on there is only so much you can do with tofu!

Yuck; your daughter must get all of her good sense from her mother.

I gag when I smell burgers. Especially if they have bacon

I don't even eat veggie burgers. too much greasy fats and processed soy.

I've been trying to find the a very healthy diet that is as near to vegan as possible. I only eat fish and eggs, sometimes cottage cheese and yogurt. I take whey supplements.
I eat the right foods, I'm looking for good ways to prepare and serve them.

What is the reason for being a vegetarian? Is it that meat tastes bad, or an ethical thing, or what?

I eat fish, eggs and occasionally yogurt or cottage cheese and whey supplements.
I try to stay as vegan as I can while maintaining optimal health.

I became a vegan at first (no animal products at all) because I thought it was the healthier choice. I did more research and found that this was only the case if you added a lot of supplements to your diet (and even then, deficiency is easy). This showed me being a vegan was a luxury I couldn't afford right now. I slowly added back in things like eggs and fish. Only recently have I started with yogurt or cottage cheese.
It is also for ethical reasons. But I'm not interested in getting into that now. I am more interested in properly cooking

I try to be as vegan as I can - buying rice protein, or non-soy vegetarian proteins, but it's just too expensive.

Rep for Rockstar for being bang on the money, as usual. I'm looking forward to his chef knowledge he can share. So excited.
