Yes sir! Born and raised here. It used to be quiet here. Now it's bustling! Sadly, it's dangerous in certain parts. Decapitations occur here a lot but the media isn't allowed to report. It's mostly due to the gang wars in Mexico that cross over. No one admits that the Zetas and Cartels live and operate from here..but they do. =S

Yeah any part of Texas where you can throw a rock and hit Mexico, isn't very safe. Though there was a gerrymandering issue with one of the redistricting lines in a south Texas district, where the newly elected Democrat redrew his lines and then switched to the Republican party lol. Can't remember what county, but that's south Texas for you.

I've been to Texas a couple of times and I can't say I liked it..........too damn hot in the summer for my tastes.

I agree. I would like to ultimately have a few dozen acres on rolling green hills with four distinct seasons. Only real place like that in the US is the midwest. I'm not looking forward to the summer in Texas this year.

Haha!! Yeah, it's hot and humid down here (no pun intended). Most Northern folks can't stand it here during the Summer; it's about 105-110 WITH 65-70% humidity. LoL!! Even like THIS, my balls don't hang...buuut...that's quite another story. Haha!! Here in the South, it's either dry hot or drier hotter. Our cold fronts start when we drop to 80 during the day. Funny though, we can't stand anything below 70. You'll see us covering up at 70 and calling the end of the world at 30! LoL! Every now and then, we'll see Winter Texans cutting the yard in shorts at 50. We're all like WTF? LoL.

Yeah, see, the humidity and I don't get along well..............although, I am seriously contemplating moving to Hawaii when my kids are both grown and 18, which will be in about 7 years give or take so I'm doing my research now. I know Hawaii does get humid but the fact that it's a tropical climate year round whereby I can wear shorts and flip flops (unless I'm going to work) seriously works for me.
