    Canada is bigger than the U.S. lot of it frozen , lots of french speakers, large native population. Nz where Tink comes from has a very large native ( Maori) population and it has had a big effect on there overall culture. Lots of diversity even in the english speaking world and lots more outside of it . Walking down a street imless in Yugoslavia and seeing a roman bath on the beach front at the side of the road , happy smileing people, who a few years later would be killing each other over differences I could not percieve, let alone understand . How was I to understand how vastly different a Serb is from a Croat.

        Smack Dab in the Middle! Oklahoma, U.S.A.

        My state is probably much more diverse than most people think. Other than a very large Native American population, we also have large pockets of lots of different nationalities... Although most of em' are just "Okies" at this point.

        For example: Close to where I live, there is a town named "Prague"... There is an awesome Kolache festival there every year. So culturally speaking there are definitely still the influences of the Old World, which enrich all parts of our Country. But the best part is that most of us, regardless of background, consider ourselves Americans first, and everything else is what makes us unique.

                      I am an american, married to a Canadien, I am a hockey player who loves that maple syrup and I would actually have to say that Canada is very diverse in culture. In BC alone you have

                      Hindu, Chinese and large european areas and the food there up in Vancouver is some of the best in the world.

                        Buffalo NY in the good ol us of a. though i couldnt live closer to canada if i tried.

                        America is hardly diverse. we damn near represent isolationism. not that our policies do. we are obviously very open to tourism, immigration and such, but simple geographic location. im sure the same could be said for australia and africa . But when you look at places like India, they are the Hub of the world. the gateway of the east for the europeans, gateway to the west for the asians. russia, and all of its former satellites sitting up to the north east. its a skip stones throw to the middle east (which would be the real gateway to everything if the climate were proper).

                        all i know is when im even in very diverse places like New york city, i still havent meet as many different people of different nationalities in the same room as i did when i was in Hong Kong

                          The Mid West. I have lived most of my life in California though. Might move back when I'm done with stuff here.
                          I have traveled a bit and plan to do a lot more in future.
                          Canada---> Nicest people ever.
                          Scotland---> Best Accent ever.
                          Germany---> One of the strangest places.
                          England---> Diversity. (I'm gonna go to Manchester this winter! A lot of different nationalities there, I have heard.
                          I want to visit India and South Africa.

                              You're wife plays for the Montreal hockey team! How the hell did she manage that. Yes, Canada is very diverse. I've never been to BC, but Ontario is incredibly diverse as well.
