The underlying spiritual motive is missing from so many lives. Western secularism has cut out the foundation of our civilization and yet we wonder why it is crumbling. The wide-spread intolerence for failure leaves many in the depths of unwarranted shame, overshadowing the virtue of such a struggle portrayed in the clip, win or lose. Even many religious people lack the power that comes from the spirit. That is a nice video with a direct allegory that few will be puzzled to find correlation in their own life. All of us need an occasional outside reminder that kicks us into action. I find I need them frequently these days."Dogs bark at what they do not know ... Many fail to grasp what is right in the palm of their hand ... Lovers of wisdom must open their minds to very many things ... A wonderful harmony is created when we join together the seemingly unconnected" ~Heraclitus

Well, it worked with meOriginally posted by Big Al View PostAn inspirational video for those of you that may need some motivation: How Badly Do You Want To Fulfill Your Dreams? - Video
Today I was having terrible toughts again, about PE, about my failures in life.
But this made me remember...
I remember when I lost weigth. It took me 5 years, but now I can wear S-size shirts.
I remember when I entered university. I scored the seventh place of 1700+ candidates.
When I became conscious about my penis size I felt as if my world was falling apart. It happens again sometimes... Now I'm working hard on PE to achieve my goals. To claim my manhood. I'm not really 100% convinced yet, but this video motivated me somehow.
Thank you Big Al.

Becoming anxious about your size can cause quite a paradigm shift, but you do NOT have to stay stuck in feeling negatively about yourself (even if you're not at the size you wish to be at).
Here's a thread that (IMO) supplements this one very well: https://www.pegym.com/forums/gym/442...pain-more.htmlLast edited by Big Al; 07-08-2012, 12:18 PM.Want a FREE Month of Coaching? PM or email me for details- or CLICK HERE

I liked that video. Good post. Lately I've just been trying let go of all the negative emotions I have and instead surround myself with everything positive, so I appreciate videos like this. It's kind of funny because a couple of months ago my boxing gym trainers let a homeless kid come in and train for free. He hasn't been there for a while now, but since this video had a boxing theme it just reminded me of that. It also reminded me of the Dewey Bozella story. That man is a true warrior.

I liked the video which showed hard work and determination can get you somewhere.
What saddens me is the constant portrayal of sports as a way out of the ghetto.
Education with a practical application of it has by far elevated more people out of their current socioeconomic class they were born into than any sports. I say this with confidence as my parents were first generation immigrants who couldn't speak or read a lick of English. They still can't. But they instilled a hard work ethic in me and I worked my butt off to earn some of the highest degrees that can be earned and am successful in the profession associated with it.
Everyone in my life now thinks I was born with a silver spoon as I am educated, cultured and respected in the community. Well, let me tell you that it was all earned. Nothing came easy for me. I worked every part time job I could to pay for my own violin lessons. Yes. A kid from the ghetto playing a violin with lessons paid for by himself.
To sound hypocritical, I also participated in sports. But again, I paid for all my own equipment and entry fees.
So, yes, I can relate to athletics and the arts. Both pay dismally and the chances of success are very slim.
Read a book and work hard. That is the best way to fulfill ones dreams.
