Take anything Alex Jones says with a HUGE grain of salt...And we have been on our way to martial law since Lincoln...But you should worry about the NDAA bill passed this year, it allows the feds to assassinate American citizens and destroys the 4th amendment (though it was pretty much destroyed already).

Really? Since when do American's stand up against this sort of stuff? Seriously from the alien and sedition acts, to Lincoln's martial law in the north, to Woodrow Wilson rounding up Germans, FDR rounding up Japanese, Bush and the dems and repubs passing the Patriot act and Obama passing NDAA, among hundreds of other similar abuses throughout our history when have Americans as a majority ever stood up to these sort of civil liberties abuses (besides the revolutionary war)?

Most conspiracy theories turn out to be bogus, but a bunch have been found out to be true, for example FDR knowing that the Japanese were going to attack Pearl Harbor and doing nothing because he wanted to get into WW2, our government lying about being attacked by the N Vietnamese to get us into the Vietnam war, Lincoln sending the ships to resupply fort Sumpter in order to instigate a war with the south, Bush and co manipulating facts and outright lying to get us into the latest Iraq war etc. So these things certainly happen, its just the crazy ones like sept 11th being an inside job and how the bilderberg group controls everything or the illuminati or crazy stuff like that which I could see making American look crazy, but only a small minority believe that stuff (of course only a small minority know FDR knew about Pearl Harbor too, sometimes Americans just refuse to believe the truth because it messes with their world view or would destroy some core belief of theirs).

Yes, there is probably truth in many of your conclusions, but it is usually a "half-truth," for example, FDR knowing the Japanese were headed for Pearl Harbor. He knew it was only a question of time before we would be drawn into the war. Politicians bend the truth to fit their goals. Some just bend it more than others. Guess who I have in mind right now?

Well the deal with FDR was that he knew the attack was coming and chose to allow thousands of innocent Americans to die because HE wanted to get the US into war (he ran for election and got elected because he said he would ensure America STAYED OUT of the war), he had also spent the past couple years antagonizing Japan so that they would attack (placing an oil embargo on Japan so they had no choice but to fight their way out of it, etc.). And it is debatable if it was a question of time before we got brought into the war, but even if that is a fact, he still could have saved thousands of innocent lives by alerting the navy of the coming attack. In the late 90's Congress passed a resolution apologizing for FDR and the government not acting to prevent the attacks. This sort of stuff happens all too often and needs to be recognized as a serious problem, someone like FDR should be thrown in jail for such acts (unfortunately since the President can make all the evidence secret by claiming executive privilege and lock it up for 40 years means we don't get to find out the full truth until long after the guy leaves office...and if you are privy to such knowledge and release the evidence to the public you can be locked up and accused of treason or aiding the enemy). Way too many protections for the people in our government, they need to be held accountable for their actions, especially ones where if they were done as non-governmental agents they would be thrown in prison or given the death penalty.
