I've seen this little gem tagged onto some comments on this site. To me, it just screams immaturity and insecurity of the poster. Perhaps we can all agree to eliminate this from our lexicon?

I always think this "proclamation" is odd also. I think some guys are pretty paranoid that something they say may sound "gay" so they feel the need to set the record straight. Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. - Ben Franklin, 1775.

This saying is popular among the younger generation. I hear people in my peer group (ages 16-24?) say it fairly often.
It is sometimes (often) said in a more joking matter.
For example, your (male) coworker comes into work one day dressed nice.
You may say something about how he looks nice, then afterwards you may add in 'no homo' to indicate that you're not hitting on him. That way, if he is of homosexual orientation, he isn't mislead to believe that you are too (or anyone else is either) & are hitting on him.
I can see how some of you say it seems immature or insecure, but it's just a saying/slang that's developed among the younger generation.
I can see how it has less of a place in the gym due to the nature of this site.
Another phrase that spawned afterwards from the same phrase is 'no stalk'. Meant to be said after you say something that inadvertently sounds stalker-like.
(perhaps on facebook, myspace, or any other social environment..)

Yeah, it really is silly. Just express yourself as accurately as you can and let the rest fall into place.
Reminds me of that one Seinfeld episode where they kept saying "Not that there's anything wrong with that!"I am no longer an active member on the PEGym.

Besides the fact that the comment is very stupid in general, if it is used by someone they usually end up a mod or two and an admin or so right up there ass.............................think about it!Going an inch and 1/2 deeper than before

On a site dedicated to talking about our dicks, and insecurities it seems out of place. I could understand the emotional need to say this at "normal" sites. However, this site is definitely more emotionally centered, and the majority of posters are mature, and emotionally sympathetic. Definitely suspect behavior to go on a site full of guys talking about their dicks, and have the need to state "no homo" in the vast majority of our conversations. In the forward progress of society and feminism, masculinity (in my opinion) has failed to adapt. This has resulted in the figurative emasculation of many men. PE is not just about gaining size, it is also about gaining confidence, but most importantly embracing and learning healthy masculinity.

I first saw this phrase on the bodybuilding.com, people say it in the "Wow you're ripped man, great abs. No homo." way.
I always saw it as a joke and not as an insecurity or some homophobia.Into 19th Month
