Who is into Star Wars?

Hey there fellow Gym members,
Who out there in PE land is into the whole Star Wars thing? We are big fans in my family. We are really looking forward to the Star Wars weekends coming up at Disney World this summer! I am also starting to put together a vacuum forming machine so we can make our own Stormtrooper costumes and hopefully join the 501st Legion. That would be so cool to visit kids in hospitals, help raise money for charities, march in the parade at Disney, etc. Also looking forward to new movies being made since Disney bought out Lucas. Gonna be great!

Huge fan here! Very much looking forward to the new movies but at the same time, I'm very apprehensive of the direction they may go. The safest and BEST way to go would be to follow the Zahn series (Heir to the Empire) and introduce Grand Admiral Thrawn. THAT would make for a great trilogy if they stay true to the book. Sadly, Disney movies don't instill the greatest of confidence in me. But I'm hopeful.

The Mrs. wasn't aware that there will be new movies coming. I just mentioned it a little while ago. Man is she excited now!
I can't wait myself. Very curious on what direction they will go with it.

Just saw the thread baby. I am curious to see which way they movies will go. I am hopeful since they have made such a bring franchise already at the park (Hollywood Studios) and kept it true to form so far. Got my fingers crossed!

I am not a fan-atic, but ever since my uncle took me to the very first at the theatre, I've been hooked on Sci-Fi. Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar, Star Gate....did I miss any stars? haha.

Seriously, new Star Wars? I have to admit, and I know I am dating myself, Disney and SciFi dramas ever since the Black Hole, ehhh, not awe inspiring. Family stuff, fun and light stories, Disney is best. But serious stuff? I don't know. Guess, we'll see.

People would be totally lost if the new movies started at that point. Let's get a new trilogy under our belts (that keep in the time line of the base 6) to get reacclimated to the SW Universe, then go off into the Jedi and Sith stories.

They could make it work. Episode VII, introduce the kids their abilities (think center point station). Episode VIII, war with the vong and the death of characters. Episode IX, creation of Caedus then the hunt and destruction.

They probably won't follow any of the epanded universe stories so they can fill in the details as they go.
