Indeed, but I thought we were talking just average people, not professionals. Police are taught how to act intimidating along with other types of jobs of people in authority. I do realize that. Many are also coached how to dress a part. They are PR people who teach this stuff.

Yes and there are pick up site that tell guys among other things how to use body language to pick up for instance. I think it is common to try and manipulate body language to try and create an impression. Some people are naturaly good at it and some study it and some are bad at it.

Faking body language is pretty easy, but on dates, etc... it's pretty damn rare to find a girl who fakes it. It's more likely the guys will, often to attempt to appear confident... and just appearing more nervous most of the time. Political debates, et cetera, are just contests of bravado, maybe with a gender/race card thrown into play now and again.

The male-oriented nature of our society is on a rocky road to a balanced nirvana. Since woman's rights have come into play, woman have become more domineering force, which is good, but rather than men and women progressing to an equal state, more and more men are becoming less dominant to compensate. And honestly, the depictions of girls in the media don't help, making men, as well as women, feel unworthy/inadequate. At this rate, everybody will become narcissistic and introverted by 2015!

Well, maybe not that soon, but it was a reference, kudos to anyone who gets it.

Back on the immediate subject, I know that I overexaggerate my body language in front of other people, purposefully - it fits my personality and makes my words clearer.
