My ideas of North Korea:

North Koreans (I'm not just talking about Kim Jung-Eun), are starving. They have very little food and live under extremely harsh conditions. I'm sure, though, that if we tried to invade them, they would fight tooth and nail, until their last dying breath, to defend their way of life. Why?

They are taught that their poor conditions are due to the other "puppet nations" that are ruled by dictators, kings, and emperors. The people in all the other nations are brainwashed into wanting material things, and are kept timid with massive amounts of food, TV, sports, all kinds of distractions to take their minds off of the fact that they are, in fact, slaves to the corporations. Their frame of mind is that they are the only and the last free nation in the world, with no pollution of the mind or body. Yes, they are starving, yes they don't have much, but they don't rely on anyone else and they are pure of mind and pure of heart.

And when you think about it, that point of view is completely valid. Look at us: fat, medicated, acting as if the World Series or the Superbowl can change world history. We are dumbed down and distracted so we don't notice what our government is actually doing to us: making us slaves to the corporations.

There are other points of view, and I'm not saying that our point of view is invalid. Our point of view is also completely valid, but my point is to bring up that "right" and "wrong" are subjective. We want to run in there and save them. At the same time, they want to run over here and save us.

One thing is certain, though: if it came to war, North Korea won't stand a chance. I told one of my friends, "The war won't last very long. Basically because we have more food."

We have freedom to choose our own path, which allows us to do ourselves in or not. Freedom is warts and all but I'd rather have it than be dictated by a regime that makes every last decision for me. Learn to take responsibility for your own life without blaming others or corporations.

They want to be destroyed and rebuilt, all by the US.

Because for some reason the US has unlimited funds, for everybody, except the US!

And destroying before rebuilding would make it look more like more less of a gift.

Please understand that I'm not agreeing with their point of view. If I did, I would be living in North Korea right now. I'm just bringing up a new point of view.

Do you see how our sense of "right" and "wrong" means that they're absolutely wrong, and we're absolutely right? The same way you feel that you are right (which I'm not debating here) is the same way they feel about their way of life. That feeling that you have that there's so much that's wrong with what I just wrote, is the same feeling they get when they think about us.

Just sayin'.

I'm not asking you to change your point of view, and I'm not saying that you're wrong. I'm just hoping you can identify your emotions and the causes of them, and then infer that your feelings about your beliefs are the same as they feel about their beliefs.

From what I understand the masses of NK are clueless about the outside world, and just assume everyone lives they way they do. The NK regime is just another in a series of leftists that bring economic misery to its people and blames others for it. Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mao.

You forget Russia and China are also communists. They may not like NK's behaviour, but they certainly won't like watching their fellow communists be slaughtered by the west either.

An attack is imminent, they said for foreign diplomats to leave the embassy's before April 9th, so I expect the first attack to come on the 10th.

My father just got back from South Korea doing some installs of military computer systems, luckily he is out now and back safe in the US.

I don't see China supporting North Korea, they have too much invested with their relationship with the US. Most of North Koreans don't have access to internet, so they are very sheltered from the outside world, this won't end well for them.

I am actually currently in South East Asia until June. If that idiot Kim finally gives America a reason to unite the Koreas, short term it will be very messy and costly but long term will greatly benefit the states and their presence and influence in Asia.

NKhas a handful of miscles capable of delivering a nuclear warhead. However, they need to be individually launched and guided to their targets. Not an easy task. The US recently moved two B2 Stealth Bombers to the area. Each is capable of firing 16 miscles delivering 16 nuclear bombs to separate locations. If I were in charge of NK this fact would make me hesitate before initiating a preemptive attack with a nuclear warhead. However, I am a bit biased in my opinion and tend to use a little more logic than the leaders in NK
