I have tried Joining a few groups and even started a couple threads with a few groups, but gave up. They seem really underutilized. With the exception of a couple, most seem like they are RARELY visited. Everyone seems to prefer simply posting questions on the forums.
A LOT of threads are repetitious of previous posts on the forum.
I am wondering if some of the redundancy could be eliminated by better utilizing both.
If someone has an answer to a few questions, it might help:
Why is there both forum and groups?
Is there a specific intended use or separate purpose to each?
The groups seem a like better organized tool for those with like minded interests.
Does anyone have suggestions on how to encourage more use of groups?
