      • How Old Is Your Inner Child?

        A Persistent 6 Year Old

        image.jpg

Your mother was convinced you were the most stubborn child in the world, but really you were just becoming your own person. You were learning about the world, and experimenting with who you wanted to be. Your friendships from that year were your strongest and deepest yet. Stick to that growing and developing side of your personality! The adult who keeps growing and changing is the happy adult!

Your toddler years are a time for endless fascination with the world. You were just learning to communicate in full sentences, and your favorite one was, "Why?" You couldn't get enough of the world around you. Never let that sense of wonder go! Your inner child is guiding you towards great knowledge!

Teenagers get a bad rap. It's a hard stage in life to go through and it's kind of awkward. But the lessons you learn as you gain your independence stick with you throughout life. This is the time in your life where you really try to figure out who you are and how you fit into the world. Sure, you make mistakes along the way and it sure is peppered with melodrama. But isn't it great to finally be at the stage where you're contemplating the grander scheme of things? That inquisitive independence of thought and action has served you well in life. Never let it go!

                        • All your child like weapons will be of no avail against the twin Yoda elders. Now back to your finger paints.

“There is lust and then there is love. They are related, but still very different things. To indulge in one requires little but honeyed speech and a change of clothes; to obtain the other, by contrast, a man must give up his rib. In return, his woman will undo the sin of Eve, and bring him back into Paradise.” ~ Anne Fortier, Juliet
