A real man never hurts a woman. The woman came out of a man’s rib, not from his feet to be walked on, and not from his head to be superior, but from his side to be equal. Under the arm to be protected, and next to the heart to be loved. - Mrs. workin_4_it

                      WHAT IS YOUR WINTER ANTHEM?

                      • White Winter Hymnal - Fleet Foxes

                        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrQRS40OKNE#t=55

A modern alternative/indie hit, Fleet Fox's White Winter Hymnal accomplishes the impossible by invoking both feelings of chilling cold and cuddling warmth all in one catchy, melodic tune. We wouldn't go as far as to say you "enjoy" winter, but you respect it for the sort of wisdom it brings back into the world after the antics of warmer weather. Like you, this song is flowing with emotion and reverence for nature - a wide-eyed tribute to the incredible cycle of seasons that gives us the years we cherish so.

Say what you will about this band and how they absolutely took the world by storm a few years ago, but one thing no one can deny is the amount of incredible music they've given us thus far - with this winter anthem of theirs being one of. A boastful, joyful tune that is ironically about conflict of love and life, this tune exemplifies your love-hate relationship with winter. Sure snow can be beautiful, but too much can also be deadly. Like most things in life, you see Winter as something wanted in moderation, not necessarily for months on end. Keep your chin up and keep loving, no matter what the winter winds tell you!

                            Wintertime Love - The Doors

                            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7-KZa61lpE#t=20

This undeniably old-school, quirky hit by the Doors perfectly evokes your love of winter if for no other reason than warm fires and cuddling with loved ones. It may be freezing and miserable outside to some, but you choose to focus on the warmth that winter brings at home indoors where love truly blossoms during the coldest months. Nothing compares to the time you get to spend with those closest to you, and winter just so happens to give you every excuse in the world to pull loved ones close and never let them go!

                                https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...;v=0GUE3E9w-Vg

This frolicking little tune by The Head and The Heart is an anthem suited just right to a winter sprite such as yourself. For you, winter invokes visions of dancing through snowflakes and sledding down hillsides - Foxes running through snow trodden hills and birds nestling into trees. Sure, it's no longer warm outside and everything is a shade of white or grey - but you find beauty in this and most things, and have come to adore winter in the same way most covet spring.
