  • Tea

As I sit down to an evening of the Sims, Bioshock infinite and pointless self reflection I've made an ally out of peppermint and nettle tea. Any other fans of putting stuff in boiling cups of water and drinking it?

Yep. But I, like many of the boys round these parts, prefer ginseng and green tea. I drank a lot of coffee and black tea prior to PE though. I actually liked hot beverages so much I got a part time job Starbucks to support my habit.

I like herbs, used to read about them a lot in the past, but for now, I'm sticking to the tried and true!

Nettle is very healthy, and helps with many things including anemia, and minerals absorption, but you may want to be careful with peppermint and fennel, as they may cause heartburn.

Peppermint may increase your chances of heartburn because it relaxes the sphincter muscle that lay between the stomach and esophagus. This allows stomach acids to flow back into the esophagus.

African Red Rooibos - Madagascar Vanilla is by far my favorite, with just a shot of milk.

Am I weird if the moment I read "peppermint," and " relaxes sphincter," I immediately thought of potential anal applications?

I think I need to buy stock in Stash. Love the stuff, all different flavors. Haven't ever thrown a mosh posh of ingredients in boiling water thing though. I too, stick with the premade teas. Will be checking back to see the other responses

Ooo, now y'all are just making me jealous! There's some blueberry and apple tea in my kitchen that I've yet to try. I've not tried Oolong yet either. My cupboard is stocked with enough green tea to last through the zombie apocalypse. It's my solution to pretty much any problem I have. I line it up in a row of four cups then take them like shots if I didn't get them in during the day. Thanks for the heads up on the heartburn! I'm Ok though, never had it. My digestive system does do some fascinating things however, such as on-demand gleeking (look it up, it's marvellous).

                            What a great thread heretohelp!

My all-time favourite is Earl Grey but I really love various herbal blends for different occasions. Recently, however, I have become a big fan of Chai...yummy!
